Othello the Legatus Act 5 Scene 1 Part 1 Prologue 31

Prologue 31

Othello walked in on his love who had fallen asleep. She was asked to come back but he did not come back earlier. He had left on a horse ride to the hills, and then he rode to the small tavern where Iago was waiting. He was told to go upstairs to view the killing.

"Like the ones which we had at the Coliseum. We could see the lions sink their fangs into the slaves." Iago told him. Othello smiled and complied. He would witnessed the killing of the person who made his love a mishap. Now that it was over, he would do remove the other. He stepped up to the bedding. She was wearing the flimsy gown that half covered her body

"Who's there?" Desdemona asked when she woke up. She opened her eyes and saw Othello. She was dazed but when she saw Othello, she was full awake.

"I did not see you. When did you get in?" Desdemona asked. She recalled her last argument with him and held back on her action.

"I just came in. I was pre-occupied." Othello sat himself down on the chair, and looked at her. "I am here to tell you that Cassio is dead."
