Othello the Legatus Act 4 Scene 2 part 2 Prologue 29

Prologue 29

Roderigo stood there and watched the ship sailed away. He felt so lost. With the last few coins he had, the Captain of the ship refused to moor any more that another could pay more. He had spent a lot maintaining the cottage off the harbour, and the expenses were high. The food and drinks with tavern wenches; they cost a lot of coins.

"Go to the tavern and find the Centurion named Iago. Give him this." Roderigo handed the wench the note which had just gave him some relief. She pulled on her frock and stood up. She walked out smiling to herself. Roderigo walked out himself and looked from the cliff he was on. The cottage front had a grand view of the bay like the one on the pavilion but it was on the different side of the cliff. While he stood there, another person joined him.

"Nice view." The other person said.

"Not as nice as the one I have at Rome." Roderigo asked of him. "How long have you been here."

"Soon after the storm. I had hid out at the hills. I saw you were busy yourself." The other told Roderigo.

"Not for long. I would be gone soon." Roderigo replied.
