Samurai in the Time Rift 9.3 ( Ends )

9.3

Taisa Mori stood there with the others to witnessed the massacre of the Nihonzaru and then the Guardian Serpents slithered off back to their tunnels. It was also then the pavilion gave off a humming sound and then a flash of light was seen. A figure walked out of the pavilion and it was a lady dressed in an elaborate kimono. Her hairpiece was the classic Edo design and she wore sandals on her feet. She walked up to the group and bowed to them.

"I am Lady Geo; or you may called me as Mistress Geo." The lady in the kimono spoke in the language of the Nippon Land. " I have seen and heard of your plight while in this place and have come here to make compensation for it."

"I am going to restored things here but some of you would have to leave. Back to your own timeline and place. You would not recalled anything that transpired here." Lady Geo explained.

"Lady Geo, I.." Taisa Mori intervened to speak but the lady stopped him.

"Taisa Mori, I can appreciate your concern but let be assured that all that needed to asked may not have an answer. But your question pondering in the head needed an explanation. As it was also on everyone's head." Lady Geo replied. "So where am I? That would be the question raised by all of you."

"You are all in a world build by us, the Masters of Yomi." Lady Geo explained. "Yomi here is our creation; a concept beyond your time, but we did it initially for recreation to satiate the lust for fights. And also for gamble. We placed the creatures here to fight, died and re-birth to fight. But they needed nutrition to supplement the loss in those deaths. One of the Masters invented this metallic structure to bring in 'slaves' as mentioned in your time; mindless and unworthy souls to be reaped by the young eggs. We needed certain numbers and we reap them from different timelines to avoid detection."

"I am confused..." Taisa Mori replied and again Lady Geo intervened.

"For all of you Ainu, the Gaijin and also the slaves, you would leave now for your own timeline." With that statement, all of them named were seen to glowed in some bluish light and then disappeared. That left only the samurai and the two ladies.

"Do not fear for them as they are back in their own timeline. As for the few of you are interlinked and may be required to see the Masters." Lady Geo was to activate the wish but Taisa Mori asked that he may be permitted to offer a prayer to the fallen samurai of this land. She granted him the wish and stepped away. Taisa Mori led the group to the machines and placed all the spare supplied and personal effects of the fallen there. They did a brief ritual and then convened back with the lady Geo.

"We may leave now." Lady Geo looked at the pile of personal items and smiled.

"Its an unusual ritual I have no recollection of it in my database. But we shall go now." Lady Geo whiff them off and soon they found themselves in another land and time. Soon they find themselves in a large Hall, facing a podium which seated three persons dressed in an elaborate official dressing of the Nippon Land.

"Welcome our forefathers. This is the year 2237 and you are in Edo City." The walls of the Hall slided down to reveal a different landscape of tall structures and overlapping connecting tunnels between the structure.

"Taisa Mori, we removed your little surprise." The one sitting on the middle of the podium spoke up. "Your small barrel of explosives can be considered as a miscreant to us, and would had caused some damages."

"Nevertheless, we wanted to see you. The Masters of Nippon want to see you." The one in the center spoke again. "Your journey in our make believe land on the half moon was very inspiring and popularity demand we keep you for view. At least for now."

"Confused? Surprised? Do as that was natural for you." The man in the center continued. "Since you seen the true Masters of Yomi, we are going to sent you off again."

"Back to Yomi." The one in the center said it out loud. "But you may want to see someone who is joining you."

An armored figure appeared from the side of the Hall; similar to the one that was seen with Lord Noriake. The armored figure walked in with its heavy steps and was holding that long thick yari.

"Meet your friend, Teishin Buke. We found him in the recycling water system, but we could save was his memory and part of his body, including the head."

"Taisa Mori, we meet again." The armored one spoke in a mechanical voice. "Gunso Mita and Edo-san. Its me, Teishin Buke."

Suddenly, the armored figure supposedly to housed Teishin Buke hit out with the yari he had on his arms at the flooring in front of the samurai group. The blow opened up a big hole there and then the armored figure sent off several blasts from the yari towards the podium but by then the three occupants had disappeared into the back of the Hall.

"We do not have time. Jump in through the flooring. I would joined you." The armored figure spoke. Without hesitation, the group jumped down to the next level, followed by the armored figure. The figure then led them to the far wall, and blasted a hole there. Outside of the wall, was the vast land with the tall structures. There was a hovering metallic cart there and was driven by a lady dressed in the kimono; it was Lady Geo.

"Get in quick! We do not have much time." Taisa Mori ran past the hole and landed on the metallic cart, followed by Gunso and then the rest. The armored one then climbed in slowly and crouched down with its knees folded. Above the heads of the samurai, a metallic hood sprout up from the rear and covered them all. Then a window screen appeared in front of Lady Geo who spin the metallic cart passed the tall structures.

"Welcome to Edo City, 2237."
