The Crusaders II The Cards are revealed 15.03

"Charge at the walls!" The commanders of the advancing warriors of Micheal's army called on the warriors. They are all warriors from Heaven; immortal warriors but not invulnerable to wounds or cuts by metal. As the saying goes, they may not die but they would feel the pain of the wounds unless they are beheaded. Then their souls would return back to where it came from. They are also the volunteers of Man; believers of the cause and fighters against demons. Father Ricken lead an assemble of the Crusaders; an army of fifty but well armed with automatic weapons with silver projectiles.

The advancing rows were stopped momentarily by the claymores and explosives but the commanders soon had the barriers cleared. Their swords are able to cut through metal like flesh and their strengths was able to move the metals aside. Then they were met by the demons of the underworlds; werewolves, Mapinguari, harpies, banshees and many more who stood there to defend the town center where the library was situated.

Geraldine and her team of Crusaders were there but she had brief them to move fast towards the library. They need to confront the leaders who are there and find a way to stop the war. Geraldine used her staff to clear the way ahead while Kruger covered her right with his swinging blade to deter anyone coming near. Clawler was on her left in his alter ego as the Windingo used his claws to scared the attackers. Miles took to their rear with a large shield and using this cross bow as a deterrent. He fires the bolt at their limbs to stop any incoming back stabber.

Geraldine used her staff to hit a werewolf who was enduring in pursuit to stop the Crusaders. The blow grazed the wolf head but it was not enough to stop it. The wolf swung back and tried to charge but Kruger had seen the intention. He swung down with the flat side of the sword on its right ear causing the wolf to howled in pain. It fell to the side, as the Crusaders went past. The wolf not letting go snapped out with its jaws, but then Clawler saw the attack and stopped it with his claws on the snout of the wolf. The wolf coiled back in pain but it was kicked by another demon into the rear of the Crusaders. It did not see who had kicked it but it was determined to fight the unseen warrior. Miles saw the threat and shot the bolt into the jaws of the attacking wolf. Such was the ferocity of the battle that anger blind the warrior and its reaction was to fight back for survival.

Man holding weapons stormed the buildings and it was close combat that determine the winner. Man in the role of snipers holding high powered rifle took shots at random victims but their high domains are soon overcome by intruders who fought their way up the stairs. Their rifles are soon out of bullets but the intruders are near; They used the long barrels like staff but it was no match against the swords and real spears. Or even fangs. Then Geraldine saw the line of demons standing there with Satan in the fore.

"Come no more, Crusaders." Satan warned them. "I am also with Leviathan."

Leviathan came forth; a giant of an Octopus with its body supported by the tentacles. It tower over Man by twice the height.

"Satan, we are not her to fight the war but to stop it." Geraldine looked to the Prince of Darkness. "Let us pass to seek out Lucifer."

Gabriel on his knees now was deep in thought. It has come now to faith in the almighty to send the words to him, but none was forth coming. He tried to drive the sounds of the battle above but his ears would not deceived him. He kept on shaking his head and prayed even harder.

The Pillar glowed and a light was beamed to the ceiling. It broke through the thick wall and passed through two more levels before it pierced through the roofing to reached into the sky.

"The message had been sent. Now I must await the reply." Gabriel looked up past the damaged flooring to the skies. "Please hurry."

Gabriel muttering was interrupted by Lucifer.

"Did he answer?" But Gabriel only shook his head.

"Then the damned shall do their part." Lucifer replied. Then he heard his name being called.
