1645 hrs Day Two Killrock Part 1.2

1. Draconian Command Center.

Squad Ten also took to the surface and found themselves about half two kilometer away from the ruins, but that was not all. They found the Draconian Command Center there but it was heavily guarded. The fight in the chamber was not heard by the guards due to the heavy winds that had picked up. There are outnumbered and outgunned by those Draconian troops. 

"Tell the General, we may need reinforcement. Show them our coordinates."

Terry placed out the Rangers in the squad to covered the Command Center. He counted five Draconian trooper manning the three rotary guns position. The Command Centers was dome shaped and covered a radius of five metres. There was a barricade built to cover the west and east side with twelve more Draconian troopers behind the barricades. He hoped to get more reinforcement soon, but he was relief by the strong winds which were blocking their presence being sighted.

"Squad Ten, Squad Five here. We are west of your position. I got my squad and Squad Two. Give me the background." Terry heard the comms and gave out his findings. He told the Leader of the demise of their leader.

Terry got the new orders and deployed the Rangers from his squad. They were to take out the guns positions while the other squads would cover the other Draconian troopers.

"Squad Ten Kino, the wind would covered our approach. We are going for close combat on our end. Would confirmed when in place. Do as needed on your end. " Basilus gave the new orders to Terry. The order was relayed and the Rangers under Squad Ten spread themselves out. They seek the needed cover and checked their fire field. On the call from their new Leader, Terry; they raised themselves up to shoot at the guns position.

Meanwhile Basilus had his squad close to the barricades using the wind as cover. The Rangers set the disc saucers facing the barricades. It would fly over when its activated. Once the disc had flown out, the Rangers hid behind their cover, and and cower down. They heard the humming of the disc as it raised itself up. It then flew forward over the barricade and began slashing at the Draconian Just as it stopped its slashing, the disc dropped down. The Rangers on hearing the disc had completed it tasks, they rushed over to jumped over the barricade to kill any Draconian still breathing But there are some who can still fight.

Marc used his rifle to defend himself from the swinging mallet wield by the Draconian. The mallet shattered the rifle and continued onto the Ranger. On impact, Marc fell back but Mira who was nearby; pointed her rifle at the back of the Draconian head before pulling the trigger. The shot killed the Draconian when the projectile penetrate the right side of the Helm.

Mira then rushed forth and pulled her sniper partner up. She saw the approaching Draconian and pushed Marc to the right side. The Draconian that came from behind Marc was armed with a sharp blade. She side stepped and used her leg to trip the charging Draconian. She then turned her rifle and fired at the Draconian in the back of the head.

"Thanks." Marc greet his partner and picked up the rifle on the ground. "Let's go."

Across the same area to the left, Pete was busy with a retrieved mallet from a fallen Draconian to land it on the Draconian Trooper on the spine. He then raised it up to find another Draconian to used it on. He saw Basilus emptying the clip of ammo on his PH375 into the last Draconian troopers still alive.

"Move into the Command Center." Basilus shouted out to the Rangers.

Leader Landi rushed in with two of her squad. Just after she rushed in, she jumped out before the Command Center exploded inside out. The explosion also killed four other Rangers of Squad Ten who rushed forth to the Command Cenrer. They were near the Center when the direction of the explosion hit them.

"It was a trap!' Basilus was also thrown back by the explosion and cursed at the rash move. It was one of those orders of his which caused the death of so many Rangers.

2. Battle at the Ruins.

General Manning looked through his Viewer which showed the flank of the Draconian Army. He got now three Eagles positioned to fire on the three Vampires parked there with the two Tigers. He had the two rotary guns aimed at the Draconian Troopers with thirty other Rangers on the walls. They were brought in by the last squad who just arrived from the tunnels.

"Fire the Eagles and the guns." General Manning shouted out the new order.
