The Crusaders II The stakes increased 11.1

The stakes increased

1.          Brooke View

Outside of Brooke View town limits, lies a prison for the maximum Penitentiary criminals. The facility houses over three thousand inmates with over two hundred guards. This particular night, the guard on Tower Five checked his watch to see if its time for the relief guards. He does not want to disrupt his training schedule in the dojo in an hour. He should had kept watch then he would had seen the fleeting figures converging on the prison. They numbered about three thousand two hundred and they are hungry for hosts. They were led by a spirit of the old war; a General who served as Head Executioner for the Death Squads.

There was four blocks to hold the inmates inside with about fifty guards monitoring the corridors, and another fifty guards sits in the central block.

Sargeant James Baldwin; the guard on Tower Five did looked up and saw the spirit jumped into his body. He fell on the floor and end up in a convulsion for a while. He then got up and smiled. James Baldwin does not exist in the world of living anymore but Herr Hauptmann Pieter Bormann now adjust his gun belt. At the same, the blocks resonance with screams and shouting before total silence prevailed except for the hum of the backup generators.

The officer walked down from the tower and past the guard block to the Administration Block. There he mount the stairs to the Operations Room; where four guards sits watching the consoles. He walked up the one who in charge; Sargeant Randy Olsen, the administration officer in charge of the prison system.

"Release them and have them all lined up on the yard according to their blocks." Sargeant Baldwin addressed the staff there. "And in future, address me as Hauptmann Bormann."

"Please open the armory and get the original guards armed up. On the rest, I need some time to consider the selected ones." Hauptmann marched out of the Operation Room.

Out in the yard, the total inhabitants of the prison lined up as told, but there were some discontentment. Some individual spirits felt they have some differing views. Hauptmann walked up to the podium that the warden used to make his speeches.

"Guards, stepped before me." The fifty guards took their places next to the Hauptmann. "Kill those bastards who disobey. Satan have planned that when all of you slipped into those bodies, you lose your immortality as free spirits."

Hauptmann grabbed the rifle from a nearby guard and shot two of the delinquent spirits. The other guards disposed of the other twenty five.

"Now that we are united, please salute me. I am Hauptmann Pieter Bormann; your commander and personal trainer. All of you are going to be trained on how to be soldiers. Then we would armed all of you." Hauptmann then faced all his armed guards who were once his personal death squads of the previous evil regime. They salute the Hauptmann and pledged their loyalty.

Hauptmann walked to a ranking officer, Sargeant Ben Wilkins and gave him the command.

"I want them trained up as soldiers, Feldwebel Henri. Or sent them back to Hell."
