The Crusaders II The Players Calls 9.1

The players calls

1.          Washington DC

Kruger threw his jacket on the bed when Miles opened the room door at their hotel. Miles followed in and stopped just like Kruger. There was a guest sitting on their settee in the room drinking their wine and watching the pay per view movie.

"Hello, Ricken," Miles surprised the priest; sitting there dressed in his frock and white collar. "I wondered how you get in."

"God works in a mysterious way." The priest replied to Miles. "I was advised that you did a neat job for the Army."

"Father Ricken, you sounded cynical. Major Chapman told me that your superior sanction the task." Kruger took the wine bottle and finished it in two gulps.

"I hoped you know that lying to the priest is a sin." Father Ricken tried to be religious with the man. "But we know the Army can be very persuasive."

"You are here to find out what they have, and you went with them to fight a battle in their version of Hell." The priest explained to them. "Yup, that version of Hell is in the wrong dimension. The Army just brought in some from there but you stopped them prematurely. Boys, you see the Army does not care how many spirits slip through as long as they get their ores."

"So you knew? Why didn't you report to the papers or even to the local Senator?" Miles asked while he at himself on the settee.

"Because no one listen to us. Major Chapman works for us. He is our insider here. There no insiders in the Vatican, or none that we know." The priest took his glass of wine. "Chapman took you over there without the General knowing. He arranged for both of you to over to assist him in destroying the gates. You done it well."

"So why did they let us go? They could had just sent us to the gallows. Or that Bay prison." Miles exploded up.

"Because with the gates destroyed, we managed to get to see the President." The priest smiled. "The General works for us now."

"Father, you are lying and I can't proof it." Miles remarked back and walked off to his room. "I am going to sleep now."

Kruger followed suit leaving the priest alone in the living area. He picked up the portable from his frock and called the number.

"They are ready for the next stage."
