Folk Tales No.20 Simon says...

Simon say..
Once a simple man named Simon went into complications, calls for his family to send him to the hospital. While in hospital, Simon says....
Our story began now.
Simon was driven by the brother who is equally old, on an equally older car on a road that has seen better days. Considering the distance to the hospital is two miles, Simon reached it in time before his heart fail. But on the way, Simon’s car was so slow, he caused a massive jam that stretrched to three miles ( some of them late for appointment, lost business deals and one missed his hotel stay with the mistress for an afternoon fling. ), but the road misshap needed three policeman to direct the traffic,.
Estimated public funds and business loss $ XXX.
Simon arrived at the Trauma Centre, and was received by three hurses and two medical officers who also upset at him coming during lunch. They administer Simon, and after a one hour routine check, they press the switch for the next level. Simon has been classified as DIL ( Diagnosis in Limbo ). At the same time, two alert went out; one to the Specialist who was roused from his sleep after a long nite at the Surgery Room, and the Insurance Centre; the receptionist while polishing her toes, got the news, checked the database, and press the Cat 5 Alert ( Cat 5 is for ‘Call in the Experts’ as Simon’s case is dire condition and may warrant review of policy and negotiation. ) Private allocation utilised $ YYYYY
Did you know that Laundry also gets an order for one extra set of gown sewn to Simon’s size, and laundry powder usage went up by 1%. Plus consumables for the nurses and doctors who treated Simon. This is all needed to be recorded by the Administrator, who complained of the extra works and the strain on the database which is over its limit.
General Budget Utilised $ TTTTTT
Meanwhile back at the Trauma, Simon gets the CT Scan, MRI, X-ray and what else they can see inside him without opening him for the Surgery Room is overbooked now.
More specialist walks in, and examine Simon, and said; ‘it not my area of expertise; but here is my bill’. And after having being examined by three Specialist, they found the fourth Specialist who finally found the possible cause. So treatment was to began but there was a need to request from the Pharmacy for the medication. And outside the Pharmacist room, the requisition staff calls the salesman of the medic supply, and told him to add in 2 extra boxes of the supply. And agure on the delivery times causing the relationship to sour, and more promises of new orders to be placed in the next review plus a bouquet of flowers.
Personal Cost $ ######
Ditto at the Insurance Company, Simon case is being reviewed by the Officer on Duty, calls the Treasury ( prepare for disbursement ), calls Financial ( Contingency to be built in for massive payout for medical and legal just in case ) and also the Broker ( lashed to the punishment pole for getting in a bad policy. ). Treasury calls back and said, ‘please review the doctor; comes up with checklist ‘Is doc negotiable? Can we get a discount? Would he accept a negotiated settlement?’.
Financial calls back to says ‘please get approval from Management for extra allocation. And please fill in the relevant forms. ) Legal is hauled up to ( sit in the docks and looked for hidden clauses which we can used, or hide yourself. ) Analysis calls up and said ‘we need the details of the insurer for our investigation’. They are reviewing their profile for a possible new serial insurance killer, so the averages, deviations and co-relation must be reviewed. After all that is what they do actually.
Insurance Possible Payout $ %*&^^^*&
And finally Simon recovered and said, ‘I will pay all those who saved my life’.
He never did when he was told of the final amount, and since then, he stopped saying anything more other than the $XXX + $ TTTTTT + $ ###### + $ %*&^^^*& to everyone he met.
