Warehouse 7B, Port of Washington
The dark sedan bearing the
NAVY emblem drove into the warehouse areas designate "Hazardous
Materials'. There are two rows of warehouses there surrounded by a high fence,
and patrolling guards. The sedan pulled over at the designated warehouse and
the heavy doors slide open. The sedan drove in and was greeted by a set of
searchlights on the front. The passengers of the sedan dressed now in army
fatigues and boots carrying the standard issue duffle bags stepped out and
walked out of the searchlights glare.
"Gentlemen, this
way." Major Chapman lead the two guests of his to the second portion of
the warehouse. Kruger can see the behind the searchlights two APC with machine
guns mounted on the top. There are about a dozen heavily armed soldiers
standing at the APC.Three of the guards detached themselves from the APC and
followed at the rear of Kruger and Miles. They walked past some metal
structures before coming to the main gallery of the warehouse. There are arrays
of consoles and tall server units with cables running all over the place. In
the back of the gallery was what may appeared to be two stone pillars of about
two metres high that and stood three metres apart. At the base of the pillars
are cables attached to a number of consoles.
A colonel walked up them and
Major Chapman salute the senior officer.
"Colonel, this is the
authorization letter. Can we get the show on for the invited?" Major
Chapman hands over the letter from the General. The colonel muttered something
unheard by the two guests and then holler for work to be done. All around the
place, people and machines starts to hummed and rumble to get online. The
cables can be seen to powered up as they start to glowed and then brighten up
before they powered up the pillars. The pillars then glowed up and film of gray
white screen appear between the pillars.
"Time to go, gentlemen.
Boom Express." Major Chapman walked towards the pillars and went into the
film of gray white screen. Kruger hesitated and then followed in with Miles
close behind.
The duo who came in could not
feel anything but seeing only white all around, and then then it all appeared
back to normal. Normal as in they are standing in similar setup from where they
just stepped out of. There are the usual array of consoles and server units
with the pillars but this chamber is not man made. Its an underground cavern
that they were soon to know about the size of a football field. Instead of
metal structures, there are tents and camper bags with lots more soldiers.
There are also stacks of ammo boxes and guns with half a dozen rotary cannons
assembled for deployment.
"Gentlemen, you have
just stepped into the new world. To be exact the other dimension. Please allow
me to explain. This is Hell." Major Chapman lead them to a large tent.
