Mordred 21.1

The Book of Revelations

21.

The Previous Realm

Keb retreated to his own throne seat while the battle raged below. It was among brothers and breeds with no known affliction but pure savagery that exist within their nature. The wolves were tearing at the others with the fangs and claws, while the blood drinkers were fighting with their extended claws. The followers of the Serpents were retaliating with their own drawn weapons of Man alongside the slithering serpents that worshiped the King. It was total mayhem and yet no one knew who were the friends and foes. He could not bear with the battle anymore. He saw the Blood Prince was cornered but there was no sight of the great wolf.

“Enough!” Keb called out when he raised his arms above his head. “Seth I called upon your powers and subdue the ones who battled us.”

With those words Keb began transforming into a gigantic serpent that towers at the height of over two times the height of Man, and his body elongated into a scaly form that lengthen to over a hundred feet. The scales of the body were dark greenish with tinges of dark streaks. The dimension of the body rounded to over six feet and it fanned out to over twelve feet at the neck with the head raised. From the side of its body just below the neck, the serpent sprouted several pairs of legs with claws. Keb in his serpent form then hissed out the forked tongue before it went forth to attack the pack of wolves. Its front double fangs sank in deep into the wolf back and then injected the venom into the victim. The wolf whimpered after a brief struggle and then dropped dead. Keb then struck out several times in seconds that brought down six more of the wolves with its fangs. It then slithered forward despite the other wolves trying to bite through the thick scales. Keb in his movement swept the wolves off with its body movement before it coiled back to attack the attacking wolves. It soon cleared a wide area with the dead wolves and blood drinkers that laid there dead.
The Blood Prince stood before the Keb and glared at it. His eyes shone with the bloodied shades were communicating with the Serpent King. He then turned to face the battling foes and raised his arms. Form the flaps of his cape, the bats flew out and attacked the ones fighting. There seems to be hundreds of such bats flying from the cape. The bats were not hidden in the cape but travelled through the portal that was the cape itself. The bats were engaging when the great wolf appeared. It stepped in on its bended hind legs with the extended claws bloodied. It stopped before Keb and then it transformed before him to an image of a lady. By then the battle at the cave had subsided with the three leaders in conference.

“King Keb, hold your wrath. The accused are no more here.” The lady spoke out in the tone of the lady.  “I am in my
other ego as Lady Wolf to face you. Do you see them as friends or do you see all of us as foes?”

Keb then moved to transform himself back to the image of Man. He stood there nude like the lady but was soon given a cape each by the Blood Prince. The later had chosen not to speak but he listened hard on the discussion that was to take place.

“We are all taken in by Azrael’s influence. He made us battled among ourselves to weaken our strength.” Lady Wolf continued on. “My wolves have taken most of the blows for we were termed as the savages here although there were few of the clans that joined Azrael. We knew by scent but you detect by perception.”

“Of that I sincerely apologised.” Keb replied. “I was taken in by the anger and betrayal. I was wrong in my move, and when I came to, it was too late. I have used my craft to quell the battle as you saw just now.”

“Bloods and lives were lost, King Keb.” Lady Wolf snapped back. “Your words meant nothing to them.”

With those words Lady Wolf held out her arms to show her numbers which was still sizeable despite the losses incurred.

The Blood Prince waved his arms and all of his followers stepped to aside leaving the followers of the Serpents in the middle.

“Lady Wolf, are you declaring us as foes once more?” Keb challenged the lady.  He then lowered his tone. “I am for one will not fight you anymore. I have said Azrael have influenced the battle, and I see no need to continue on from his influence. I shall compensate for your loss with a share of my wealth.”

“And so shall you take your due portion.” Keb looked to the Blood Prince. “But it will be after we have defeated the one who cause us this pain.”

Keb then looked at the gathered. The faces facing him were once his followers and allies but at that moment he was unsure if there were any of them who still have it. He was to speak when one of his followers stepped forward. He bowed before the King and spoke.

“I was one of the wayward but I heeded your advice. I am now prepared to face the punishment.” The follower stood at attention before the King. Keb stepped to face the follower and then voiced out.

“I receive your loyalty.” Keb sounded out as if he wanted all to hear. “But the punishment for disloyalty is dead.”
With that Keb punched his right hand into the throat of the follower. The follower collapsed on his knees and then fell flat on the flooring.

“You may all follow me by the old rules or you may end like him.” The gathered all stayed silent and then they were cheering the King.
