The Tempest Act 4, Scene 1 Part 3.1

Act 4, Scene 1 Part 3

Despite the ongoing rain that evening, the young couple was asked by Paul to come into the Library. He had prepared the place with the help of Ariel for the impromptu function. The place was hung with ribbons and more foods were laid there. There was a projector there, with the crank handle to work it. It would be Ariel' task to do it.

It was all there as it it was a party for the socialites but the only catch was that there were only four guests; Paul, Freddy, Miranda and Ariel.

Paul does not have much time as he knew that the trio of the male nurses and one inmate coming to seek him.

"Sit down, Freddy." Paul asked his guest to sit at the long table. He saw Miranda taking the seat next to the young man but the father asked her to sit on the other side.

"Please sit there, Miranda. He won't melt in the next hour without you." Paul liked the look on his daughter. She looked radiant with her new attitude in life. Once his daughter had taken her seat, he spoke to them.

"Freddy, Miranda. I have asked you to come here this evening as we may not have much things to do anyway." Paul changed his mind on the speech. "So let us celebrate."

Ariel who was at the far corner dimmed the lights. He then played the projector to displayed on the wall. It ran a short clip on three spirits that came from the woods, and made merry at the pond. There was a celebration of sort there, with the nymphs and fairies joining in. The caption appeared on the screen.

'Our names are Iris, Ceres and Juno.'

The next caption appeared on the screen.

'We are here to celebrate the engagement of Freddy Nates and Miranda Miller.'

The clips showed the nymphs singing and dancing. The chorus and dances they did were very entertaining. It was like in a concert. Freddy and Miranda were entranced by the sounds and movements. It was a well coordinated film shot by Ariel. Miranda faced towards Freddy and they kissed. It was so romantic.

Then it all ended midway.

The party was gatecrashed by three drunks.

Kabib, Timothy and Steven.

They were all armed with sticks and batons.

"He is here. He lied to me. He was to take his nap." Kabib told the others. "There is the girl."

Steven stepped forward but Paul stopped him.

"Stop the show." Paul told Ariel. "Move no closer to my daughter or I would shoot you."

Paul had a gun in his hand. He then looked at the three drunkards.

"You told us he was to unarmed."Timothy looked to Kabib but the later shook his head.

"Sit down there." Paul told the three men. All except Kabib refused to sit.

"You drugged our drink. Why?" Kabib asked. He then looked at Ariel who emerged from the behind the projector. "You told him to do it. Is that true, benefactor?"

Paul nodded.

"I knew of your plan. I had Ariel sent you the wines laced with the drugs." Paul laughed. "Kabib, you are like my son. I knew all of your moves."

"I am not your son. I am Kabib. I am the Prince of this land. I would replaced you as the benefactor. I would be the King of the land." Kabib spoke up. "After I disposed of you."

"The new King to replaced me." Paul laughed out loud. "Not till you seen what your knights would do."

"Yes, they are my knights. They would fight for me. Hand over your wealth, old King." Kabib spoke up with his chest heaving to display his superiority.

"Ariel, bring the chests here." Paul told his servant. "They need to see the wealth."

Paul then looked to the young couple.

"Children," The first time he addressed the young couple that. "Leave us. Go back to your room or whatever."
