5.4 Crusaders II Strategy outlined

1.          A safe house belonging to the Vatican somewhere in Rome

The last to arrive was Clawler as his yacht had to bear with some high waves on the sea. He arrived at Madrid coast line and took a swim inland. There he walked to the nearest Church and made a call. A convoy of cars were dispatched to fetch him here. When he walked in, he saw the three person sitting at the living area; all dressed casually in jeans and shirts with the dark laced up jungle boots.Clawler went to the lady in concern to prostrate himself at her feet.

"The creature picks up his mistress well." Miles made the passing comment which drew a growl from Clawler. "I think your pet here needs to be trained."

That last statement drew Clawler to leapt onto the sitting figure of Miles on the armchair with his right hand at the throat of the other.

"Stop...Claw..ler. He's Micheal's descendant." The creature heed his mistress call. He knows all of them here; by their scent, he knows who everyone was. He knew that the lady here is the descendant of his master and his oath stays with her. He stepped off the man and walked back to his mistress who was seated at the other side.

"Whoa, bad boy. I could had shot you." Miles showed the short stub revolver he had on him at the back of his belt. "Its silver bullets now. I dislike vampires and wolves."

"Enough of the bickering." The priest came out from the kitchen area bearing a tray of sandwiches and coffee. "Welcome, Clawler. I see that you met your mistress. But first, the meal to satiated our morning needs comes first."

After their morning meal, Father Ricken briefed the team on the current updates.

"The six Princes of Darkness have revolted against their leader, Lucifer. They have come together under a new leader now; Asmodeus. As we sit here now, the Princes are calling on allies of their own. We know the vampires have joined their ranks, and so have the witches with their worshipers." Father Ricken points to the list provided on the folder. "Some other human leagues have also been influenced with false promises."

"So when can we migrate to the Moon?" Miles was being sarcastic.

"There are some outside of the Church who may be our allies or fighting the common enemy." Father Ricken looked at the four original Crusaders. "The Werewolves are not in their alliance. They are the arch enemies of the Vampires."

"Cut the crap, and tell us where do we start?" It was Miles again who jumped the queue.

"We don't know. There are some incidents but we are not sure if they are related. For one, someone broke into the Russian Military Office. They took what may had been a list of vampires in Europe; updated since the sixteenth century by the monks. It was confiscated by the Military in the last war and kept as a secret. There was one case in Pentagon, where the files of some ultra-defined terror groups were copied by parties unknown. There may be others but we are not sure." Father Ricken closed the folder and looked at them. "That's all we know."

"I am suggesting that we split up into two groups; Miles can pair with Kruger and checked out on Pentagon. Clawler and myself would take on Europe." Geraldine spoke out like a leader. She was expecting them to protest but they accepted her suggestion.

"Before you leave, I have something for Miles."Father Ricken pull out a cross bow with unique quick quiver build to the side of it. "That quiver holds ten bolts with a spring loaded onto the bow staff where we modified the cocking device to relocked with an electronic cranking device. You can load in seconds. Each bolt had been treated with silver so you are fairly safe with the demons."

Miles test out the weight and loading before he was handed a box of bolts.

"Kruger for you, I have constructed a set of greaves to protect your forearms. They are tough and yet flexible to accommodate your fighting style. As for you, my dear Geraldine, your forefather used a rapier well. Your skills with the 'sai' are commendable but I think you need some extras." Father Ricken handed over a staff made from ash tree. "This staff is named Yggdrasil, from where it was crafted from. Its said to hold the nine worlds together in the Norse myth but its also fabled to fear by the underworld. I do not know what it does but I hope it would do to protect you should you need be."

The wooden staff stands over two metres and weights light on Geraldine hands. In an instant the staff became a slim long piece and entwined itself around Geraldine waist.
