1500hrs Day One Killrock Part 1.3

1.          The recon to the ruins.

This time they moved in two ATT which took a long route from behind the Flat Top and detour wide to come in from the east of the ruins. There was three squads here; Squad Five under Basilus, Squad Four under Leader Nur, and Squad Two under a new Leader Landi. The reformed Squad Two was made of the original surviving members of Two and Three, and given a new leader. Squad Leader Landi is a tall lady with set of good eyes to know how to pick out a target at two kilometres. She was one of the best shooters in the Division, and a tough leader. She replaced Leader Mano who was sent back to the Command Center.

The Squad was given extra firepower and ammo, including two sets of the missile launcher 'Eagles'; the set of eight missiles launcher and the three sets of double rotary guns portable units named Weasels. There were given a coup fo Thor; the personal missile Launcher. Some of them were also issued saucer blades for close quarters combat alongside with the metre long chain saw for the extra slash power.

Intel Officer Moss was assigned to Squad Five to provide them any insight into the ruins. From the intel she had read, that section of the ruins could be a place of worship. It was to designed to meet the zenith of the sun and supposed to wake up the idols from their slumber.

It took them three hours to detoured there and the sun was setting on the horizon.

"Rangers, welcome to the temple of Khun-Ta; the God of Blood. Here the Khun do their annual sacrifice of lives. The place is so secretive that its protected by four walls with only one entrance; the one facing the east. But that are all gone now except for path of the walls on the west side. The central of the temple is a small dome which the ritual would be carried out. The two crescent shape are the platform for the priests and invited guests." Intel Office Moss brief the squad. "We do not know more than that from the excavation that was done forty years ago. Their findings were destroyed in a freak incident."
