02:30hrs Day One past at Killrock 1.2

1.          The Dugout

Basilus had passed the Draconian missile launcher to Pete; its still have one more missile. Basilus then settled in with his squad as he listen to the comm passed over by Pete. It was Major Moshe with more instructions. He confirmed the instruction and signed off. He motioned to Micheal to come over.
"Command want us to recon the Space Port. We are to check if there are anything worth salvaging. And also for survivals. Like the Guard you found with the Miner. There could be more out there. You take your men; the new recruits too and come in from the west by the landing pad. I would move further put and take in from the north."
"Leader, what about the prison pen?" Micheal motioned to the heavily guarded pen. Basilus looked over and saw the numbers there. He counted maybe one hundred and fifty settlers there, but he can't move in without orders. If he knows the Draconian, they would use them as hostages now that the Research Centers are destroyed.
"Leader, you know there are nothing there', Micheal points at what was left of the Space Port. "We got to rescue the settlers before they get exterminated or processed." The later is brain wipe to make them mindless beings, to be servants or as food.
The leader looked at his co-command and shook his head. He knew Micheal for over two years now, and the man emotional inside him. That was why he never made it to Squad Leader despite his leadership skills. Basilus grabbed the Ranger by the right forearm.

"Micheal, we do as we are told. The Space Port first and then we go rogue. Is that understood?" Micheal pulled the Leader's hand off and crawled away. Micheal called on this squad and they crawled off. Basilus signaled his section to move out.

Mira and Marc swept out further to cover the leader as he half crouched in his run on the ground. Pete kept close to the leader as they move ever careful and slow towards the Space Port. Suddenly the Space Port became alive with activities.

"Wheelers! They hidden Wheelers there."

Two of those Draconian Three Wheeler or DTW which carried a single seater bike broke clear from the debris which they had used as cover. The three wheeler was also named the Tadpole as its was shaped like one. In the front of the Wheeler, there housed a rotary gun on the right and a missile launcher on the left. The launcher carries four mini missiles like those on the personal shoulder launched units. The misgiving of the Wheeler was it had to stop to fire the missiles but the guns are free to fire in any movement. They came in fast and had Pete shot on the left shoulder before pinning down Basilus.

Basilus rolled over to come at the side of Pete and covered for him. Pete despite his wound, fired off the Draconian missile launcher but the shot went wide. It did scared the Wheelers which broke off to different directions. They were looking to divert and circled back. They would had make it if not for Marc and Mira who took down two riders. Mira's shot hit at the missile launcher where the Wheeler stored the missiles. The explosion caused the Wheeler to veered to the right and somersaulted over the ground.

Marc aim was on the second rider which he dropped with a head shot.

Basilus left Pete with Marc while he and Mira took towards the Space Port. They soon reached it with no incidents with the Draconian or Wheeler. When Basilus reached the Space Port, he took cover before the fallen wall. Mira was next to him. He saw the approaching Company which was flanked by the Armored Company. The CT are in the forefront without any threat from the Vampires. They are headed for the Production Lines. There are no firing as yet.

"Micheal, comm in your position." There was no reply. Basilus could only hear static.
