02:30hrs Day One past at Killrock

1.          The Temporary Command Centre

The Staging Area was now packed with two company of the Rangers and the remaining CT's including their commander; Colonel Jahangir, tall bearded man with wide chest and bigger biceps and long legs. They used to laugh that he may not fit into any Chieftain with his frame, but he did with utmost discomfort. He prefers the Juggernaut and its firepower but this battle he came down first to confront his peer in the Infantry.

"Your crazy, lunatic and ...total madness almost cost me my tank, Colonel Ludwig." The larger frame man overlooked the shorter officer by one head. The later looked up from the maps laid out on the makeshift table.

"I may had crippled one of your tank, but I wiped out five Vampires. That would had saved maybe a company of my men." The colonel then referred back to his maps. "Read the report. It was not my fault but the cannister did not do its work."
That irked the Armored Commander who went to look for the Tank Commander who released the report to the Infantry commander. He bumped into Captain Malik who had just landed with his riders. He looked at those super bikes as they called it; the Bikes; a super lightweight design super-bike for military uses. Its a powerful single seater rider mounted two hub-less wheel vehicle for those who needs speed and mobility in traversing these jungles. Its a Track Speed Bike build for enthusiasts who likes to feel the feel of running at high speed without much care on safety. For the exploration uses, it has a built in twin mounted rotary gun gun with twenty shots ammo load on each side of the front of the bike. Its a mean machine for one likes to ride wild. The riders are dressed like the Infantry but the riders all wear a Full Faced Helmet which are shaded red with black stripes.
"Colonel," Captain Malik salute the senior officer by rank although he reports direct to the General. "My squad would sweep for intel."
The sixteen riders rode off without a reply from the Armored Commander. The colonel and the captain had their differences but they also had mutual respect. The colonel walked on to his ride; the LTT which would take him to the tanks. All eleven of them lined up in a row with their barrels held up high. He can see the Witch being repaired by the Rescue Team and salute at the crew when he went by it. He got off the LTT at rejoin his tanks.
Tank Commander Duncan from Poppins came up to him and saluted.
"Sargeant Duncan, what ails your mind to release the tank report to the Colonel? Am I not your commanding officer?"

"With due respect, Sir. The colonel made me give him the report." Sargeant Duncan defended his action. One thing about the Colonel Jahangir was that he liked his officers too much to reprimand them. He treated them like his tanks; they are to be guided with love.

"Next time, shoot him then tell me about it later." Colonel dismissed his officer and went over to inspect the tanks.

"Tankers, we been told to wait. There are settlers still out there. We can't go in blasting like no man's land. So hang on till Witch joins the rank. We would give them hell to molest one of ours." The Tankers all roared out their feelings.
