Tweet...tweet 23/06.... The Romans are coming....

An excerpt from a long weekend....

Scene 1.1.7

Sinister of the Consuls

“Was ever a man as proud as this Marcius?” Sicinius whispered out in a spiteful manner. He was a tall man but lanky in frame with his thin mustache that met up with his side burns but sadly the top piece was thinning due to inherited defaults. He was dressed in the dark blue frock with the vertical yellow stripes that sailed across his waist. He called it the fashion of strangulation by the Nobles on the Commoner. His close associate and conspirator, Brutus was in the red shaded frock that displayed his emotions of the day.

“He has no equal.” Brutus replied.

“When we were chosen Consuls for the Commoners...” Sicinius ignored the man’s reply, and tried to raise his own limelight but Brutus was past listening.

“Behold his lips and eyes.” Brutus continued on.

“Nay,” Sicinius retorted back when he took it that Brutus meant Marcius and not themselves. “His taunts...”

“He will not spare even the Gods.” Brutus who was highly emotional invoked on the Godly personalities. “The present wars devour his soul. He has grown too proud to be so …valiant.”

“Such a nature, tickled with the victories, disdains the shadow which he treads on at noon. I do wonder his insolence can be commanded under Cominius.” Sicinius picked his words to tackle on the issue of insubordination in the military command.

“Neither Fame, at which he aims, in whom already he’s well graced cannot be held nor more attained than by a place below the first.” Brutus gave his view on the ego standing of the man. “If he miscarries, it shall be the General’s fault, but if he does perform; then the giddy censure will then cry out of Marcius if he had done the honor.”

HAPPY FATHER"S DAY... pardon me, belated one....

Dark Queen

I laid out my terms while Marlene listened. I had my eyes on her while she searched out the area with her sight; looking for my elusive sniper.

“Marlene, you need to ease on your concern. Simon, give him a sample of your skills.” Simon was my hidden Pawn; not registered in the roster, as I used him to cover for the information with the authorities. He was formerly with SWAT due to injuries on his leg, he had to swap department. He was out there with a rifle and aiming at her.

The shot came and missed the Agent on the left leg.

“Marlene, it was only a warning shot.” I cautioned her. “Do we have a deal?”

“I cannot confirm it. Your name is listed on several agencies, and they would be difficult to bargain with.” Marlene replied. I knew she could not. I gave her a list of unreachable terms.

“Thank you for being realistic, Marlene.” I told her. “I do appreciate your honesty”

I looked at the gagged protected piece of my Chessmen. All of us worked for him; protecting him beneath the layers of security. All of us are to sacrifice if he was ever threatened, but he was an imbecile to us. He may be the King, but neither of us really cared for him. We only want to capture the other King, but on the board we are playing, we just end up as survivals or death by wrong moves.

“I guess we don’t need the King anymore, if there are no more Chessmen.” I ended the King with a shot in the head.

“Hello, Queen.” I heard the familiar voice. It came from the far corner of the place, behind some crates. It was Mrs.Treacher. She was dressed in her usual attire; the matron look but her look was all untidy. She was armed with her gun in the right hand.

“Surprised to see me? Your ploy to have me killed did not work. My informant from the Precinct called me in time for me to crawl away in the battle.” Mrs.Treacher was always resourceful. She looked up at me. “You are not the only one with the contacts. I have more than you can imagine.”

“Me?” I feigned ignorance, but the next move surprised me.

“Hello, Tracy. I could see you made it out in time.” Marlene spoke to the newly arrived lady.

“Tracy?” The Dark Queen asked.

“Yes, your Mrs.Treacher is also known as Tracy Darby. She was formerly my colleague, but she left us for more adventurous life. The Cleaners are one of our many hidden secrets; an organization sanctioned by us to do the dirty assignment. You had her daughter killed, and Tracy came to see me. She wanted to hit back, but I planned with her for you to hire her as your aide. It was an elaborate ruse to plant someone close inside your organization.”

“But your killings took to a new alert level.” Marlene continued on. “My Director asked me to re-open your files. I had to send someone to investigate.”

“I am surprised. I had placed my trust with Mrs.Treacher with absolute trust. She is also my Drill Master for the Chessmen.” I looked at the lady I trusted.

“So what made you wait? You could have killed me anytime.”

“The Cleaners are indebted to our employer. They told me to wait. I wait.” Mrs. Treacher smiled. “It’s part of my military training.”

“Funny how closely knitted our acquaintances.”Marlene walked over to the other side. “Tracy and me are good friends. So is your shooter.  Simon is one of my Cleaner crew too.” Mrs.Treacher told me. She then looked to the King who had slumped on the seat.

“Hail the King!” Mrs.Treacher voiced out and had her gun leveled at the King. She shot him again in the head. “Down goes the King. What a despot!”

“My Queen, you were good in your work, but of late, you lacked the leadership. And courage. Somehow, this Sylvia shook you up very much.” Mrs.Treacher looked towards me. “I wondered why. You did not hesitate to remove these after your fuck.”

Mrs.Treacher threw the clips of the dead lovers of mine. I had removed numerous of them; no one cared when they are homeless or runaways, but easier for my trail, I had them harvested for their organs while their flesh served some hungry canines. It was the real side of myself; the young lady who once trusted a man and in turn, he had me raped by his friends for fun. I became a recluse since the incident, but there was a second attempt by him. He paid the price of coming back for seconds; I had him castrated and hung in the bathroom bleeding for days. Since then, I had been one killer like the Black Widow. They don’t live after the fuck.

“Mrs.Treacher, why are you doing this? You were my friend.” I recalled she said I killed her daughter, but I wanted to taunt her.

“You killed my girl.” Mrs.Treacher was losing control on her emotion.

“Who’s your daughter?” I asked her back. I could see the lady was all shaken up with emotions. She may be tough on the exterior, but she has a raw nerve for me to kick in.

“Who was she?” I asked again. Mrs.Treacher reached into her side pocket and threw me the photo. It showed a young girl in her teens. I can’t recall her face. There were just too many of them then to recall who.

“You could not remember, huh?” Mrs.Treacher hit back. “She may have looked different when you killed her, but she was mine. She was my child. I gave birth to her and you killed her.”

“Cut the crap, bitch.” I hit back.”We killed them all. We cared not who birth them, as they are meat to us. You ought to know that. You are the Iron Lady.”

“No, I cared not of the others but my own blood and flesh. If it is mine, it may not be touched. Those are my rules. No one questions me, as their Queen.” It was then she gave the command. “Shoot her.”

But the shot did not come.

Queens’ Confrontation

Dark Queen - Leader
Mary Ketch

White King - Leader
Marlene Phillips.

White King

I stepped into the derelict warehouse in the quiet section of the area. Mary picked her location well, its wide and filled with empty crates stacked scattered high. There some chairs there, but it was all laid in between the stacks of bodies. They all looked dead to me then; laid down in the random order, as if they were listening to a person giving a speech. I saw one body was stained with the bullet hole in the head.

I moved to the front of the bodies. I was armed with my own gun. I saw the Queen stepped out from the stack of crates. She was dressed in her business three piece suit, and carried a briefcase.

“Hello, Marlene.” She greeted me and motioned me to a chair nearby. I walked over but remained standing.

“No reason to stand, Marlene. You finally met the Queen.” Mary spoke out. “I had been waiting for you but that time when we met recently; it was a formal meeting as the Special Officer of the Mayor.”

“Then Mayor is an arsehole.” Mary continued on. “But he is still the King, while I am the Queen to protect him.”

“Mary Ketch Levine.” I spelled out her name. “You done well since then. You were a Knight and now the Queen.”

“Yes, I have been doing well, until you showed up. Or rather your agents. You been a menace to the Chessmen, that we had you named the White King, as in contrast to mine as the Dark Queen.” Mary voiced out. “Unlike our Chessmen, you are the King.”

“So where’s your King?” I asked.

“He’s here.” Mary motioned to the left of her. I then saw the Mayor seated there on the stack high crate; still in his business suit but he was also gagged in his mouth.

“Don’t get too excited, my King. Remember you are wearing the last diaper.” Jonathan had a bleeding anus after his painful shafting by the lady as shown in the video clip.

She then looked at me and smiled.

“Don’t worry for him. His exposure had already hurt him more in more places than his butt.” Mary continued on. “I am more keen on your officer. The one named Micheal.” Mary looked at me. “Have I seen him before?”

I looked at her and nodded.

“He was Ben Salter then. He took off the beard since then. He was with the Queen then as the Knight.” I told her.

“Yes, I recalled.” Mary replied. “He was the one you send in to save the bitch.”

“Hold your tongue on who you called the bitch.” I lashed back. “Her name was Sylvia Gates.”

“Yes, Sylvia. She was good; she fucked her way to the Queen.” Mary laughed at that. “I was fooled by her too. Did you know she shared my bed once? She ~”

“Fuck it!” I actually like Sylvia to see her name being desecrated. I was there when we pull her out; she was dying, but with the care and nursing given, she made it back.

“Don’t be a fool, Marlene. I got a backup with the sight on your head.” Mary cautioned me. “You do not think I would come in alone.”

“Mary, you can call off your Pawns.” I sat down to show her my sincerity to discuss. “We can discuss what you want.”

The Crusaders II The Cards are revealed 15.04

1.          Outside of Brooke View Library

Lucifer stepped out to meet Micheal who called on his name. There was a lull in the battle; both foes taking to their own boundary. The demons on the left and the army of Micheal to the right. Micheal was dressed in his robe but he bears a sword; his own sword, the flaming sword of Micheal. The hilt of the sword was dark in shade but the blade was shaded red like lava. Lucifer stepped forth holding a trident spear shaded in red from the top to black at the staff end.

"We shall decide the winner and he who loses shall do as needed." Micheal declared.

"So shall it be like before." Lucifer accepts the decision.

They both raised their weapons and it was then Gabriel rushed out from the Library.

"Stop in the name of the almighty Father." Gabriel rushed to Micheal and held onto his hand holding the hilt of the  sword. "He seeks the two of you in his presence."

Both warriors walked with Gabriel to the library and went inside.

An hour later, they came out and then stopped in front of their army.

Micheal turn to his army and bid them to collect their dead and wounded to depart. Just before he left, Micheal turn to Lucifer. He whispered to Lucifer and the other smiled. Then Micheal took his leave with Raphael. Lucifer looked to the demons who awaits his words.

"There would no more of this war. You may all return to your previous dwellings and continue on in your works." It drew a hushed from the demons and they refused to budged. A harpy walked out and approached the Prince of Darkness.

"What of the salvation that was said to be ours?"

"Here is your salvation when you choose to come here centuries ago. Your time to rejoin the heavenly Father would be another time. We just got to continue the wait here." Lucifer looked to his army. "I know many of you are disappointed that we fought for nothing. But in reality, we won as our voice was heard. Your Father heard your call, and he had not forgotten all fo you."

The demons stood there and muttered among themselves. Then Lucifer called on them to dispersed leaving only the seven Princes standing there with the Crusaders with the wounded mortal warriors. Lucifer told his Brethren to leave while he awaits Gabriel the only angel still there.

Gabriel stepped out and spoke to Lucifer.

"Father ask me to not to able the gate until your time have come." Gabriel spoke to Lucifer and then looked to Geraldine. "Before I go, I would pass this to you. You may use it to heal the wounded and then placed it here."

Gabriel point to Geraldine a wooden case.

"I would come and collect it later." The angel passed over four of the unit that looked like a scepter.

"Tell me what did happened inside.' Geraldine asked of Gabriel. "I deserved to know. I am part of this crusade."

"I would like to have tell you everything but in the end, I would still to hide the memory from you. None of you in the guise of Man are ready to know the whole truth. Those are not my command but from my Father." Gabriel told the Crusaders.

"Then why do you make us take the tasks and risked our lives?" Miles was getting agitated.

"Which is why I said the whole truth shall not be revealed but there would be some truths you can retained." Gabriel conveyed the intention of this Father. "Man need some champions to guard their existence. As you can recalled, we are living in multiple dimensions with many similarities. You, the Crusaders may need to come to the aid of Man in conflicts when these dimensions collide. Demons and devils are only some of your foes..."

Lucifer drew on a deep cough, and Gabriel correct his statement.

"The occasional ....rogue angel may be one of your foe, but there are many others." Gabriel looked at Lucifer for affirmative nod. "You seen some of them recently; Norse and Egyptian."

"\Of which we are removing for you." It was the voice of Thor who held onto the shoulder of Loki whom he had apprehended with Balder. Lord Seth had come willingly as he wants to go back to his dimension.

"We are taking him back but we thought of leaving this for you. The staff you hold would and may summoned you should Asgard have a need of you. And your friends." Thor smiled at the Crusaders. "We would be going now."

The Asgardian and the Egyptian left in whiff of wind.

"Gabriel, what made you think we would continue on as Crusaders? We did not actually volunteered here." Kruger interject in. He does not like to assumed in the role.

"You can't escape your fate. All of you are linked to the task of protecting mankind and their beliefs in the faith." Gabriel then looked at Lucifer. "One of your number is not here. You always gloat on being the leader, but he is more than you. Baal could be your nemesis. Beware my warning, brother."

Gabriel and Lucifer soon disappeared in whiff of flashing lights leaving the Crusaders standing there alone. Geraldine looked at the scepter in her hand and then moved among the wounded. The other three soon followed suit.

The Crusaders II The Cards are revealed 15.03

1.          Brooke View Town Boundary

"Charge at the walls!" The commanders of the advancing warriors of Micheal's army called on the warriors. They are all warriors from Heaven; immortal warriors but not invulnerable to wounds or cuts by metal. As the saying goes, they may not die but they would feel the pain of the wounds unless they are beheaded. Then their souls would return back to where it came from. They are also the volunteers of Man; believers of the cause and fighters against demons. Father Ricken lead an assemble of the Crusaders; an army of fifty but well armed with automatic weapons with silver projectiles.

The advancing rows were stopped momentarily by the claymores and explosives but the commanders soon had the barriers cleared. Their swords are able to cut through metal like flesh and their strengths was able to move the metals aside. Then they were met by the demons of the underworlds; werewolves, Mapinguari, harpies, banshees and many more who stood there to defend the town center where the library was situated.

Geraldine and her team of Crusaders were there but she had brief them to move fast towards the library. They need to confront the leaders who are there and find a way to stop the war. Geraldine used her staff to clear the way ahead while Kruger covered her right with his swinging blade to deter anyone coming near. Clawler was on her left in his alter ego as the Windingo used his claws to scared the attackers. Miles took to their rear with a large shield and using this cross bow as a deterrent. He fires the bolt at their limbs to stop any incoming back stabber.

Geraldine used her staff to hit a werewolf who was enduring in pursuit to stop the Crusaders. The blow grazed the wolf head but it was not enough to stop it. The wolf swung back and tried to charge but Kruger had seen the intention. He swung down with the flat side of the sword on its right ear causing the wolf to howled in pain. It fell to the side, as the Crusaders went past. The wolf not letting go snapped out with its jaws, but then Clawler saw the attack and stopped it with his claws on the snout of the wolf. The wolf coiled back in pain but it was kicked by another demon into the rear of the Crusaders. It did not see who had kicked it but it was determined to fight the unseen warrior. Miles saw the threat and shot the bolt into the jaws of the attacking wolf. Such was the ferocity of the battle that anger blind the warrior and its reaction was to fight back for survival.

Man holding weapons stormed the buildings and it was close combat that determine the winner. Man in the role of snipers holding high powered rifle took shots at random victims but their high domains are soon overcome by intruders who fought their way up the stairs. Their rifles are soon out of bullets but the intruders are near; They used the long barrels like staff but it was no match against the swords and real spears. Or even fangs. Then Geraldine saw the line of demons standing there with Satan in the fore.

"Come no more, Crusaders." Satan warned them. "I am also with Leviathan."

Leviathan came forth; a giant of an Octopus with its body supported by the tentacles. It tower over Man by twice the height.

"Satan, we are not her to fight the war but to stop it." Geraldine looked to the Prince of Darkness. "Let us pass to seek out Lucifer."

2.          Brooke View Library

Gabriel on his knees now was deep in thought. It has come now to faith in the almighty to send the words to him, but none was forth coming. He tried to drive the sounds of the battle above but his ears would not deceived him. He kept on shaking his head and prayed even harder.

The Pillar glowed and a light was beamed to the ceiling. It broke through the thick wall and passed through two more levels before it pierced through the roofing to reached into the sky.

"The message had been sent. Now I must await the reply." Gabriel looked up past the damaged flooring to the skies. "Please hurry."

Gabriel muttering was interrupted by Lucifer.

"Did he answer?" But Gabriel only shook his head.

"Then the damned shall do their part." Lucifer replied. Then he heard his name being called.

Othello the Legatus Act 2 Part 1.1

ACT 2

Prelude to Act 2 Part 1

The peninsula was surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea on the east and Atlantic Ocean on the west, except for it northern boundary where the Pyrenees divided the peninsula from the main continent. At its southernmost tip, the Strait of Gibraltar split it from the darker continent. At the core of that peninsula, there was the province of Lusitania. It was a province populated by native Iberian and Celtiberian; a mixed of Celtics and the local Iberian. Rome interest on the Iberian Peninsula began with the Carthaginians in the Punic Wars. The Roman Empire, aimed to destroy the ruling Barcid Empire in Iberia, and to prevent them from being a flanking force on Rome. The Romans had begun on the southern territories and then moved up north, until the full occupation in Twenty Five BC.

"Tell the Legatus, we have sighted the tribes. They are massing here in the valley." The Centurion told his men from his vantage point on the hill. They were part of the recon units sent to observed the tribesmen. He had counted the numbers of the warriors there. It was like revisiting the old Viriatus Rebellion. The Consul had one Cohort there in Iberia; a mere four hundred eighty legionnaires. The Emperor felt that the main Legions would be at Dacia and the Germanic borders. The Centurion had heard that Rome had send a legion; a ten cohort strength to counter the threat.

The tribesmen here numbered about the strength of a Legion, but they are made of various tribes and a mix of warriors; both experience and raw farm boys. Like in any rebellion, there are the women in tow, but hopefully, they won't be like the in previous rebellion; joining their man in the battles.

"Do you have any ideas where is the legion from Rome?" The Centurion asked but no one replied to him. Maybe the Governor would know.

Or maybe not. It was then the rain came falling down; hard and dense. It blinded the legionnaires. And so would the tribesmen.

"Darned the rain." The Centurion looked to the sea on the other side of the hill. He saw the dark skies that lashed out with its winds and rain while the sea waves have turned high on it.

"Is it Neptune against us on this war? He called on the Tempest which would sink the whole fleet; there gone would be our reinforcements." The Centurion sighed. He looked down and saw the lighted houses by the sea port. He knew that a warm tavern there awaits him,,but it also housed another anxious soul like himself. But that one is the aide of the Governor, a noble named Montana; one who was also expecting his information on the gathering hordes. The Centurion rode down towards the beach bearing the news for those who are awaiting the late arrival of the legionnaire fleet.

The Crusaders II The Cards are revealed 15.02

1.          Brooke View Forest

"Halt!" The warning came when the Crusaders came to the small clearing. A figure clad in chest armor with a sword at the waist belt and holding a spear appeared. "Hold there in the name of God's Army."

"We are the Crusaders. Take us to your leader." Geraldine looked to the sentry. "I am Geraldine Black."

A short while later, they were taken before the commander of the army; Raphael, standing there in the tent while pondering the sketch on the town. He was dressed in a warrior garb; metal chest plate, greaves, and metal guard for the shins, with a sword hanging on his waist belt. The helm of his was similar to that of the Roman Legionaire, but has a spike on the tip.

"Commander, the Crusaders are here." Raphael looked the four human who have just walked into his tent. He extend his hand and shook that with Geraldine.

"I am proud to meet descendants of the original Crusaders. Your deeds are documented and praised by many in the Halls above. I wished we had met in more peaceful time, but right now we are concluding a war that should had been ended centuries ago." Raphael smiled at the Crusaders. "Micheal have escaped their imprisonment and now confront the demons to surrender."

"Micheal?" Miles sounded out surprised. "The Micheal of the angels?"

Raphael nodded.

2.          Brooke View Library

"Micheal, stop this." Gabriel stepped forth to step in between the two warring brothers. "Lucifer, Satan, Asmodeus, Mammon, Beelzebub, Belphegor, Leviathan; they were once our brothers. They were misled by the temptations of Man and descended here. Among those out there are many more of our brothers."

"I am doing this to bring them back to the Halls. We are not waging a war, we are congregating to evacuate back home." Gabriel sighed in his words. "I know you would agreed so we had to imprisoned you. I would suffer your wrath but let me get them back home first. I am almost complete with the coding for the gate. The one they fallen through and would now return them."

"The Fallen Gate; the one which we named as the Mother of Gates?" Micheal looked in disbelief. "How could you do that? Our Father has foresaid that none would repair the gate. Do you want him to bear on you his wrath?"

"Father is the all knowing, and I am sure my workings here did not evade his attention, but he is not the all perfect. He has flaws and faults which made him more merciful. I am trying to bring back the family together. Is that wrong too in his view?" Gabriel questioned Micheal. "Are we not the guardians of mercy? Or are we to judge mercy and punished the undeserving?"

"Man is his creation, and yet they have defied his aspiration many a times. Man has commit more sins than any other creature in this dimension; but they still come to him for mercy. Does he neglect them or forgives them?" Gabriel looked at Micheal for any expression. "I am doing what mercy was meant to deliver. I am delivering my waylaid brothers to come home. If you understand mercy, you would allowed me to complete my task."

All those who stood there looked at each other in silence. Then Micheal turned and walked away. Micheal then stopped and looked back.

"Remember the words of Job. Father need not be questioned on his works or faults. There are no faults but the way set by him. I am his Judge on the brothers who had attack his name. I stand by Leviticus 24:23. He may may step as he did in Genesis 18:25. But till then, I am the Judge. My ruling are based on action and facts. Lucifer and his brothers are to be judged. I speak on the rules under Deuteronomy 19:21; not to show mercy. But my action also speaks from witnesses who saw such acts. My judgment is not flawed; I have reviewed many witnesses, Deuteronomy 19:15."

"Brother Micheal, just like David once asked Father to be the judge, I plea with you to allowed to then to face him once more. They deserved the mercy granted to others; Manasseh, Nebuchadnezzar, and Saul. They too had done terrible things against his people, his house, or both. But they changed their attitudes. They became his humble servant and to serve." Gabriel spoke again.

"Brother, your task may be noble but not everyone will receive Father’s mercy. They had not changed and in recent weeks, they had sow their evil on others. Father will never forgive them. And then there will be no mercy." Micheal turned to walk on to the town boundary.

"Lucifer, please bear with me. I shall complete the task set before me. Do not despair." Gabriel rushed to the basement and onto the wonderful creation of the universe and buried for centuries. Its a giant pillar of wood like material that stands over twenty metres with a base of over three metres in a square layout. On it are the etching of words known only to the ancient before the formation of the dimension. Its the predecessor to Yggdrasil or the Yew Tree, or even the gates in ancient Egypt.

Gabriel reached out with this hand and touched the wooden surface. He called on his ability to communicate to Father to give him the strength to resolve this conflict. He is after the bearer of messages from him to Man.

Meanwhile Lucifer looked to his assembled army of demons which await his order.

"We shall defend the Gate till its opened. Let no one stop us from returning to the Halls of Heaven. If we are met with hostility, we shall return in kind."

The army of Lucifer roared to his words.

Loki looked to his companion, and said.

"I would recommend the playing field stand. We can get vantage view of the coming battle."

Preys and Predators II; Chessmen ( Rated Mature readers only ) 1.39

White King

I placed down the portable and looked at Micheal. He finally came in and reported to me. We been discussing the case, and all the facts were laid out.

Micheal was with Sylvia but he lost her in the Car Park.

I knew who was Mary Ketch and then was on the run, assumed missing.

I crippled the Cleaners crew, but the Iron Lady was out there.

I knew one more named Mitch Brennan who called in to tell me more of the Chessmen. He was willing to come in as a witness, if I can help to trace one named Billie Diane.

“It’s all too moving too fast.” I spoke out to Micheal. “I never bargained for all this to happen. I did not know of Steven until he was found dead. I came in trying to see if there was a link, but you had to bring up Sylvia, which concluded the link.”

“You could have told me.” Micheal snapped back. “We ~”

“A failed relationship. You broke up with her then, and she asked for protection. I gave her that. But the situation drew us together.” I told him off. “I send you here as I was concerned that the murders could be a new Chessmen or a copy cat organization. I was right on the first one.”

“You knew Sylvia was here, and yet you did not warn her.” Micheal hit back. “You could have protected her.”

“From whom? I had protected her then. She was broken from the assignment and also you were missing.”

“I was ….” Micheal held back for a moment. “We broke up then, and she did not want to see me.”

“Yeah, very convenient for you. But did she know what really happened to her.” Marlene hit back. “She was one like them to blend in.”

“Yes, to the extent that she went for them like lovers.” Micheal looked away. “She became more diverse~”

“Diverse? Or was it that her hidden self?” Marlene interjected. She saw the hurt look on his face. She then changed her tone. “Sylvia was one of the best. She was better than you. She would do anything to get the assignment right. You did too.”

Micheal was once involved with a lady in the assignment. He kept it back from Sylvia but she knew. It was Marlene who told her to keep it under wrap.

“We all are involved in our assignments.” Micheal lashed back.

“Are you?” Marlene asked. “The moment you met Sylvia, you forgot all about your assignment. You went rogue on me. You went with her, and did something which I will not have condoned.”

“Then have my badge.” Micheal stood up and threw me his badge. “I had enough of your manipulations into my love life.”

“I will have it, but not now. I got the Queen to meet me. She wants to come in with you.” I told him. “You would assist me this last time as an Agent. Are you in or not?”

Micheal walked out without a word.

Tweet tweet tweettttt.....14/06

It may be 3 hours before dawn, and having watched 5 episodes of From Dusk to Dawn Series ( was I staying up for the World Cup? Nope.... I am not a fan of it. ). Back to Dusk to Dawn, I am still reeling from the series number of flashbacks like I did with my Othello tales.

A pinch of my own medicine huh?

Anyway, good news. I done up Preys and Predators III in four days of intense writing to finished it off at 43K words. Its ranked in the Mature Section. I stopped Devils Own at 53K words while I re-edit some passages and moving it for a 100K words full tale. Steam Punk have so much to offer in details and I want to explore them. Meanwhile this weekend, I am moving back to one of my unfinished tale'; FLESH. It was inspired by the tale in STARLORD Comics ( I read it back then along with Judge Dredd on 2000AD. ) Yup, it went extinct some thirty years ago. Along with it was ACTION Comics ( not the pocket size one ) with memorable characters like Johnny Red who flew for the Russian in WWII, Rat Pack with Major Taggart, and also the memorable shark ( bloody name was at the tip of my fin. Tasted like Sharkfin... )

Anyway, I will do up FLESH and then come back to Devils Own. And maybe one more serious stuff like Othello. I was thinking of re-writing Romeo and Juliet, but that was done many times. Maybe Taming the Shrew or the Scottish play ( can't said the play name.... why? check it out on the net... learned about it from Castle TV series. ).

Till then, let me delve back to the FLESH.

A tempting bite served here:

That was simple part; the tasks had its dangers. There are the dangerous creatures; some among the herds and some are the lone predators. The later ones are the real killers. One of my tasks was to remove the predators. That was then; I was tracking this lion-like creature; big bodied like the size measuring over twenty feet in length and a radius of eight with a large double fang head in its jaw. It was not that I feared but the horn with the serrated sides above its snort and in between the eyes. That horn stands out at almost three feet from the head and it’s deadly. When the creature thrust at you with the horn, it was pushed by a dead weight of nearly five hundred pounds of muscles, the horn does more than thrust, it ripped off the flesh inside you. For its ferocity and deadly horn, we named the creature; the Horned Lion.

Abby' call had been detected by the creature, as it pick up its head from the reclining posture to placed its scent sensory for the location. The Lion can pick up the scent of its prey from a long distance, and it had hooked onto mine. There was little time to react; I grab the rifle on my side and sight it on the creature. By then it had stood on its three pairs of legs, and growl at me. I got the scope on the head and pulled the trigger. The three inches length metal coated projectile filled with propellant and explosive materials crossed the distance between the lion and me at split of a second. The projectile hit the skin and penetrated to the skull bone before it ruptures on the first layer of explosives. The explosion blew a vertical blast into the flesh beneath the bone surface. This was where the minute explosive pins damaged the soft brain core of the creature with its mini explosions. The lion fell onto its haunches to lapse into seizure contractions before its final death.

That was how you kill lions, as other wounds would just agitate it before it seeks you out.

The Crusaders II The Cards are revealed 15.01

The cards are revealed

1.          The fake Garden of Eden

Just as Geraldine completed her words on Elijah, the staff given to her by the Orthodox starts to glow. Geraldine start to call on everyone but Major Markov declined.

"I know where we are. While you were talking, I did some star gazing. We are still in Siberia and may be to contact the rescue team. You go on and stop this war. We would wrap up things here."

Geraldine nodded and led her team to where the staff leads them. It was the rear door and this time it showed a North American forest. They stepped in and find themselves standing on a small hill over looking Brooke View.

2.          Brooke View Library

"Micheal!" Lucifer called out the name. "Brother, we can explained this all."

"You imprisoned me in chamber which bleeds me of my power, and replace my place in the rightful place." Micheal glared at Lucifer. "Would you pardon me if I do that? I doubt so."

"Micheal, this is not what you think. We have been planning for them to return back to their places among us. They are our brothers before they were the fallen angels." Gabriel stood up to defend Lucifer. "We had to subdue you as we knew you were very much against them. But I was not aware the planning would take so long."

"Gabriel, do you know that Lucifer had recruited Loki from the other dimension in your plan?" Micheal looked at the other angel.

"Loki was only to trap you so we can work in peace. It was in the plan."

"Loki brought in the Egyptians..." Micheal shouted out.

"Lord Seth was an unforeseen factor; he choose to wake up at the same time to invade Asgard. We did not know he would be involved or why, but his problem was sorted out. Lucifer told me he sorted that out."

"Yes, he did with some help from the Crusaders. Do you know that the Crusaders are involved?"

"Yes, Micheal. It was not my plan but there are some ..." Gabriel was stopped in his explanation.

"Gabriel, whatever you planned did not worked. Lucifer was strumming the strings. I do not trust him. But I know he does not want to go back; he wants to invade our realm. What are you doing?" Micheal asked Gabriel.

"Enough of this!" Lucifer cried out. "I did plan to go back to there but things have changed. Changes not by me,but forced on me. You had the Crusaders harassing my charter. Then my brothers turned against me. Maybe Micheal is right; we are never meant to be on the same side."

"Brother Lucifer, please do no despair my action. I would bring you all back to your rightful places with God. We were all one and we would be one." Gabriel looked to his brethren. "Micheal, the rift can be mended. They have seen their ways."

"The dark would never lighten against the light." Micheal spoke up. It was then Loki walked in with Lord Seth. Micheal looked to the new arrivals.

"The evil ones have arrived, and they congregate here in one place. Where are your brothers, Lucifer? Show them too." Micheal challenged the Prince of Darkness.

"They are all here." Lucifer removed the jar from his vest and poured out the worms. Once the worms dropped out, they revert to their true form. Asmodeus, Mammon and Belphegor appeared looking confused. Outside the library, the ground quake and opened to have Satan, Leviathan, and Beelzebub appearing. They came along with their army of the dead and undead. Thousands stood there to await their command.

"How can he be here? I had him encased in clay here." Loki pulled the clay figure out of his pouch.

"I am an angel of God. Would a simple spell suffice to hold me there? I had escaped while you carted away a piece of soil." Micheal replied. "Lucifer, your army assembled and mine had come too."

Preys and Predators II; Chessmen ( Rated Mature readers only ) 1.38

Dark Bishop

I cleaned the wound and dressed it. I stepped out of the house, and looked for my car hidden away in the bushes. I need to get to Billy or he may end up dead.

I had to protect him from them.

I could still do it. He does not know I had planted a tracker on him. It was part of my training.

“Mother, he would be fine.” I muttered to my dead foster mother. I owed her that much for having given me a mean to live. I searched the dead assailants, and found a portable phone.

It had a familiar number.

My employer; the Iron Lady.

But I had more. I knew who the Queen was.

I would find her but I may need help

“Marlene, remember me.” I dislike this but sometimes they are worth a second night.

“Yes, Mitch Brennan. I do.” I’ll be darned. She quoted my full name, and that only mean she had checked my background.

“I am surprised that you did a thorough check on me.” I replied with curiosity.

“It’s my nature to know who I bed. And for the better ones, I keep in mind their details.” She replied. She was toying with me and I had not much time.

“Marlene, I know who you are. And why you are here.” I went straight to the facts. “I could give you the Chessmen.”

Dark Queen

It was all falling apart, with the new team and then the Mayor’s exposure. It scared away the Investors, who shied from the publicity. They are there for the high returns on their investment, but the reaches of the law had touched their lair. They called me to tell me of the visits by the Feds for some records.

Damn you, Marlene.

Damn you all.

My contracts are being void by the enforcers; no one works for free. Instead contracts are out for me, paid for with the funds I helped to create.

I need to end this or faced total extinction.

I looked to the assembled Chessmen; the last surviving ones but there are some missing in the assembled. It does not concern me, as I would have them hunted down. I raised my glass of wine to them, after having told them of the crisis.

“We would meet again soon after the heat is off. For now, settle into your normal life. I would channel you the funds to live on until we revive the Chessmen again.” I gave my speech. One of the recruits asked me of the time frame to reunite.

“Soon, my Pawns. We are in a stalemate now, but there are new games to begin with when we are refreshed.” I raised my wine and once again cheered them. They all took their drinks with a toast to my leadership.

Good followers have loyalty to the cause. After all, they had their first recent payout of funds in their bank savings. It was a gesture of good will on my side. I watched them all took the drink, and then stood there smiling.

The first to collapse was the weaker ones, and then the others. I walked among them, looking at the listless eyes, and surprised facial expressions on the faces. It’s a wonder what a drink laced with cyanide could do within seconds.

Or not all the time. The one who questioned me, staggered up to stand. He must had taken a smaller dose, or spit it out in time.

“You should finish it. It was a good year for the harvest.” I shot him in the head with the suppressor on the gun. Then I called Marlene.

“We need to meet and talk.” The same message was relayed to Mrs.Treacher.
