Act One Scene One

The
new revelations
“It’s
gone. It won’t answer now,” Marcellus said. Barnardo looked to Horatio and saw
the other trembling. He was considered the bravest among them.
“How
now, Horatio? You tremble and look pale. Is not this something more than
fantasy? What think you on ’t?” Barnados asked.
“I
swear to God, if I hadn’t seen this with my own eyes I’d never believe it.”
Horatio rubbed his eyes. “I have seen many but never of this.”
“Is…no,
was it the King?” Barnados asked for affirmation of his belief.
“Yes,”
Horatio nodded. “Yes, as much as you look like yourself. The king was wearing
exactly this armor when he fought off the Producer of the playwright ‘Norway’.
It almost came to blows, and the other was a Capone. And the ghost frowned just
like the king did once when he attacked the Poles, traveling on the ice in
sleds. They ambushed him on the icy road, and he fought them off as if he was
in a playing a scene.”
“It’s
weird.” Horatio knew the King. He was no Angel himself, with his vices to
burying his rivals when he finds them annoying. It was called survival of the
finest.
“If
it’s true, then it happened like this twice before, always at this exact time.
He stalks by us at our post like a warrior.” Marcellus voiced out. The other
two glared at him. It was at moments like this when Marcellus will be fumbled
with a silly remark.
“I
am not…I meant was it not twice?” Marcellus tried to explain himself. “Am I …”
The
other two ignored him.
“In
what particular thought to work I know not, but in the gross and scope of mine
opinion. This bodes some strange eruption to our …. King.” Horatio remarked. An
undying spirit here to haunt or speak may seek retribution. None of his that
demised had done so.
“All
right, let’s sit down and discuss that question. Somebody tell me why this
strict schedule of guards has been imposed, why so many bronze cannons are
being stored in Denmark,” Of late there were crates of weapons brought in by
the late King and stored in the basement. “And so many weapons bought from
abroad, and why the servants are so busy they don’t even rest on Sunday. Is
something about to happen that warrants working this night and day? Who can
explain this to me?” Marcellus tried to find the reasoning for a few events
before the King’s death.
