The Shooter
aims to win
3.1 The
Unnamed Stranger
The tall figure hovered at over seven feet in
height, flexed the muscles on the hard frame to ease the cramps of sitting
inside the armored vehicle. It was standing before a long stretch of tarred
surface which once served as highway for the commuters between cities. It was
lined with discarded vehicles in all conditions, while bones of the inhabitants
laid on the surface; scattered by the elements or the predators that had fed on
it. The tall figure turned its face on seeing the reflection of the light by
the glass surface of one of those discarded vehicles. It showed an expression
of drawn tight whitish flesh with red orbs for the eyes and the narrow jaws
complete with the dark hair that flowed freely behind tied like a pony tail.
The tall figure wore a dark leather suit of buttoned over jacket and pants with
dark boots.
The figure needed no weapon as it was a weapon;
build for speed and with fangs on its fingers, with equal sets in the jaws.
They were once called Vampires but the evolution of their breed allowed them to
walk in sunlight now.
"Colonel Drak, your refreshment awaits
you." The Major of blood and fresh shuddered as he passed over the vial
containing the solution which this vile Man demon needs. He was never to know
that the vial contains what may had looked like blood for looks but was a
solution to allowed them to walked in the sunlight.
The Man demon took the vial and unbuttoned his
jacket to reveal the white flesh beneath it. At the place where there was the
position of the heart for Man, there lies now a metal cap. The Man-demon took
the vial and placed it against the metal cap. Once it was in contact, the metal
cap would open up its tiny pores to admit in the solution. That small solution
gave the Man-demon protection from the element for six hours six minutes and
six seconds; the lasting period been a grim reminder to them of their service
to the Eighth Prince of Darkness.
"How far are we from the so named city of
Munich?" Colonel Drak asked the Major.
"We are a day's drive if there are no
barriers." Major Norris gave his best of estimate. "The United Euro
hade resistance groups in this area."
"Resistance groups? They are a bunch of misfits
with weapons? They may not have seen true stealth fighting techniques as
yet." Colonel Drak drew on a low laugh in his voice. "The Vampires
have fought longer than any armies in that form."
It was then Major Norris received the update from
the agent placed in the Faith organization. He frowned in his expression and
then looked up to the Colonel.
"Sir, we have confirmation that the Crusaders
are being regrouped." Major Norris told the Colonel. He dreaded having to
deal with the resistance group and now the Crusaders. “Colonel, if the others
hear of this, then the resistance groups would be more united and be a force to
reckon with soon.”
Colonel Drak sneered his expression before he replied.
"The Crusaders are defunct as they were not
needed. They had their victories over us in the yesteryears, but now with the
enhancement, we would take on their blood anytime and anywhere." Colonel
Drak replied to the Major, He then walked to the vehicle which he was traveling
in.
"My Lord, we are near to your home."
Colonel Drak bowed his head in respect to the one he was to protect and assist
in this task. His Lord have refrained from taking the solution as he felt the
need to be pure was as essential to keep himself pristine..
"You do yours and let me continue on my own
task in Prague. We would camp here tonight and move tomorrow." The one
sitting in the dark confines of the vehicle issued the command. His lordship
pulled away from the sunlight and took his own refreshment from the fresh blood
of the refugee they had detained earlier.
"Yes, my Lord." Colonel Drak dismissed
himself and told the column of mercenaries hired to make camp.
"I want a double perimeter build around."
Colonel Drak told the Major. He then walked the last vehicle. When he was near
to the vehicle, the rear door opened out to have five of his selected warriors
stepping out. They are dressed like him in the dark leathers but they had their
hair all tied up with a bandanna covering the scalp. They each have a long
barrel phaser rifle on their back, alongside with the machete on the waist
belt. They are all trained as snipers besides their other skills.
"You are to ride ahead to Munich. Kill the
resistance there. And if possible seek the scent of the Moor. He may be
there." Colonel Drak gave his command. He then turned to the one standing
nearest to him. "The others already there would be your backers."
"Schindler, you are in command of them. Find
the others and consolidate your numbers." Colonel Drak conferred the
command to the trusted lieutenant, before he handed over the bag of vials. It
would last for three sessions each.
"For the Nation." Schindler saluted his
leader.
"For the Nation." The other four elite
members of the Vampires Brigade replied. Colonel Drak then turned to his convoy
of his; twelve six armored wheelers with six forty footer containers that was
then parked behind the wheelers. Not many people knew of its contents. Another
convoy would join them shortly with tanks and missile launchers with more
troops.
