Othello the Legatus Act 1 Scene 1 Part 4.1

Act One Scene 1 Part 4

Emperor Commodus was standing by the Victory Altar, while his eyes laid on the assembly of Senate members which he called to join him there. They are some of his trusted ones that he would consult on matter of concern like the one they had all debated on that evening.

"They can't be more than a handful. Are you sure the scouts are right?" One senator spoke out while another replied in disgust.

"You are saying that our finest had speculated on their numbers. They are not fresh girls chasing the boys in the square." That senator replied. "Unlike yourself , that you do not know who you met last week lest alone knew their names."

"Gilvius, If Envius knew who he fathered, he would had not left the villa. He would be shadowed by every corner and street." One other added to the zest of the senator's personal life.

"Senators, do we know what is happening?" Emperor Commodus told off his senate members.

"They could be creating alliances, or calling on their loose tribe members." The senator who first spoke sobered up to the discussion.

"Tell me something that I am not informed on." Emperor Commodus told the assembled. The trusted circle looked away from the Emperor and continue their muttering among themselves. The Emperor was to shout when he saw the Centurion that walked in.

The Centurion approached the Emperor before he bowed.

"I bring grave news. The tribes are seen moving south to the Iberia Peninsula." The scout showed the Emperor the migration of the tribes.

"The Iberia? Hispania? Why there? Why not march to Brittany or Dacia? There are more their kind there." Commodus asked. "Hispania is ours too...."

"A province of Rome, my Emperor." Senator Envius advised the Emperor.

"They are confusing us. They want us to go to Iberia. To divert our Legions." Senator Gilvius, the passionate one added in his experience to the new information. "They have nothing to gain there. Its a peninsula, when they have the whole continent here to gather their mens."

Senator Gilvius point to the upper lands.

"Its their land." He was reprimanded by his Emperor.

"Its ours now. Please stand corrected, Senator. Its does not look good to your status to mis-quote." Commodus frowned and then looked to the doorway.

"Where is the Legatus I summoned?" It was coincidental that the Praetorian Prefect arrived with the Legatus he was seeking.

"Ha! The man I been waiting have arrived." Emperor Commodus stepped away from the altar and approached the Legatus who had stepped in. The legionnaire bowed to his Emperor and took his place beside the Emperor. The other lead him by the arm to the long table where the map of the land was laid out.

"Othello, I have the revolt in Britain. But I have the one need of you in the coastline of Gaul." Emperor Commodus point to the line that ran from north to the south. "These barbarians are plotting something but I know not of what. I want you there to quell them if they are up no good. Rome would not tolerate any dis-loyalty."

Othello looked at the map and noted the stretch that he was visit. He was to speak when the senator walked in. Brabatio walked in alone and was unarmed. He bowed to the Emperor and then approached the later.

"Senator Brabatio, I am surprised to see you here." Emperor Commodus looked to his Prefect for that intrusion. The other looked away but the Senator had covered for the Prefect.

"My Emperor, please do not put the fault on the Prefect; he was not to know that I am forceful in my ways and had trespassed on matters of urgency." Brabatio explained himself. He looked at the Legatus.

"He is the reason I seek your judgment." Brabatio point to the Legatus. "An officer of the Rome finest who had shamed the Aquila he hold before his legions."

1.          Swiss Alps

Loki had arrived in the Swiss Alps while his magical self was been questioned by Odin. He sneak into the European Charter with a simple guise that no one would question; a floating spirit through the corridors. He soon find himself at the dark corridor where the hands reached out to him. He's a trickster and so he gave them tricks to confuse them. Soon he was at the end of the corridor and opened the door.

"Hello, Micheal." Loki addressed the angel hanging on the chain. "I trust they did not offer you superior accommodation."

"Loki, you trickster. You done me the foul deed of leading me to the trap and then replacing me with your evil incarnations. I would see you paid in full for this." Micheal was clearly upset at be ing cheated by the trickster who had assumed the looks of Gabriel and induced him to take the wine laced with some potion that rendered him powerless.

"Aha! We are of the different dimension. It was once decided that each would have their own boundary and jurisdiction. Your Father cannot persecute me nor can Odin do to you. As for myself, Odin would but he is talking to my incarnation too. I fled here to take you with me. You are a very fragile hostage in the coming conflict." Loki smiled at the angel. "I can assure you my accommodation are more appealing and comfortable."

Loki called on a spell which made the angel into a clay figure and pocket size. He picked up the figurine before it fell on the flooring. He had it wrapped in the velvet cloth and placed the figurine into a pouch he carries on his waist belt. He then looked at the reaching hands that was on the walls.

"Such poor things; you souls captured by this hideous creature and made to struggle within his flesh. I shall free you. I am returning the item given by Asmodeus to me." Loki unsling the back pack he had with him. He opened the flap and set the timer to 020seconds.

"A shorter time of discomfort for eternity bliss, my dears." Loki left the bag of explosives in the room. He then walked out and met Lucifer standing in the corridor.

White Pawn

I looked at the computer screen as if it would tell me something new. Not about the murders, but on Silvia Gates. All I had was what I already knew. I widen my scope to check on the Chessmen, and narrowed on Mary Ketch.

Nothing was of use to me. So I left for the Tempest. I needed to get to the back rooms where I can find Silvia. The scene was in full burst, with the patronage at its fullest. I figured the ladies outnumbered the guys by three to one; but they were not keen on picking the later. Well, I was wrong.

“Are you new here?” I looked at the lady who spoke to me. She stood high to reach only my jaws line but her contour in the short yellow dress made up for her shortfall in height. She had on a short pixie haircut which enhanced her cute eye lashes and pouting lips.

“Aye,” I placed on my lady killer Scottish accent picked up from an infamous movie spy while holding my martini.

“Yah!” The lady quipped back. She took my martini and gave a sip. She then swirl her tongue over her lips. “Shaken and not stirred. Tell me your name.

“Micheal.’ She hushed me with her index finger before passing me the martini. I took a sip from it.

“No last names. Mine is Aiko.” She then led me to the doorway at the rear. I found myself following her.

There was a bouncer there, which she passed over some money for the key pad. It led me to a corridor and then into a private room.

“Have you heard of Kinbaku?” Aiko asked me. I shook my head. It was then I saw the ropes in her hands.

“It’s the form of Japanese bondage, but we can be adaptable.” Aiko told me just before she pulled me into her hands. Within minutes, she had me in a bind; my limbs are all hog tied with the ropes. Then she pushed me to the bed while standing over me with her legs spread out wide.

“Does that mean I play submissive?” I asked.

“No, but Bruno would prefer you could sing more chords.” The lady replied when the door behind her opened. In came the person I seen before. He leaned over to kiss the lady before shooing her off.

“Hi, Bruno. Remember me. My badge is in my back pocket.” I was rewarded with a finger jab in the chest. It took my sexual urge out. I was to shout my protest, but held back when Bruno waved at me. Then I saw the one person I was not prepared to see.

Othello the Legatus Act 1 Scene 1 Part 3.3

Prologue 3

The interior of Senate Hall was sixty feet in length by forty feet wide. There are three broad steps that had five rows of chairs to seat the three hundred senators. The walls were veneered in marble two-thirds of the way up while the rest are plaster to the ceiling. At one end of the hall was the status of Victoria, the figure of the goddess standing on a globe, extending a wreath; a sign of seeking alliance or peace treaty with the foes. That corner was named the "Altar of Victory". The flooring of the flooring was the art technique of opus sectile, in which the the materials are cut and inlaid into the floors to make patterns. That day Emperor Commodus seated there on the seat provided to him while he listened to the members of Senate spoke on issues which battered their egos. There was intense shouting which each Senators tried to made their voice heard to the other, but the Emperor was getting impatience. He was to stop the debate when one of the senators stepped from the row of seats and raised his voice to be heard.

"Senators, hear me out." The elderly member walked along the row of seats to made his point. "The citizens of Rome needed their concern resolved and not be given lip service."

The other members quiet down while the elderly member spoke his views. There was silence while one was to speak when the Emperor voiced out his comment. Nobody in the Senate dared to challenge the Emperor when he was in that mood.

"I had heard enough." Emperor Commodus spoke to the Senate. "Get the Consul to clean the streets."

Emperor Commodus then stood up and called for his exit from the Senate. He motioned to the Senator who spoke earlier. The Senator who walked up to his Emperor and bowed.

"Senator Brabatio at your service." The elder man smiled. He was invited to join the Emperor for a meal. It was a few more to come and was offered the position of Consul should Brabatio want it.

Brabatio never took it but he made an acquaintance of the Emperor.

Baal walked in to the Shrine to find Leviathan standing there; the figure looked like an octopus with its tentacles all spread out. Baal walked in cautiously as he seldom see Leviathan in this form; he normally appears as a man.

"Baal, you disappoint me. I did not exist this long to be deceived by a young imp like yourself. I been watching all of you and believe me, its very educating. Lucifer, Satan and yourself a team; the others the opposing team but no one consider myself. Am a disappointment?"

"Leviathan, you surprised me." Baal tread in carefully. "Surely you do not doubt my involvement in this new alliance. Why are you questioning my loyalty?"

"Baal, stop mocking me." Leviathan was getting annoyed. "I have an army with me. Beelzebub is my ally now. We have prepared for Lucifer visit there."

"Leviathan, you may not be well informed but Lucifer is not involved here." Baal tried to feign for time but the Leviathan was not giving in.

"Baal, I am well informed. My own kind do not lie to their master. Tell Lucifer he may eat the octopus now. Its matured and its flesh would be delight to eat raw now. As for the Pacific Charter, its dissolved. They are now my army. We are leaving your war to fight out own. So leave us now." Leviathan imposed on his command which caused Baal to stop in his tracks.

Baal then turned to go but Leviathan stopped him again

"Tell Lucifer that Micheal is getting stronger. He may had escaped."

Baal was dismayed by the news and he rushed to informed Lucifer but the later had reached the European Charter.

I tried to find Mary Levine Ketch. That name did not exist on records; it was totally wiped out. The best was not in the Department records, but how the record was maintained. I still had friends who knew more friends, and they are very influential to work the records back to the untarnished situation.

Mary Levine Ketch re-surfaced on the records.

It did not take long.

I found the Queen.

Mary Ketch had changed to Mary Stewart.

She’s the Special Liaisons Officer of the City Mayor.

The doorbell rang, and I looked up from the laptop. I was in a hotel room in downtown dressed in my terry robe after a morning shower. I booked in since the apartment was sealed off for investigation by the cops on Alice’ death.

“Room service.” I recalled calling for a meal to be deliver up. I walked to open the door for the hotel staff.

“Hello, Ms. Chambers.” The hotel staff pushed the cart in. He had called me by my registered name. “This is the morning papers as requested.”

The hotel staff passed me a duffle bag which he had taken from beneath the food tray. I took it and checked the contents. It was what I ordered from Peter’s. The hotel staff then passed me a message.

“Peter message for you.” The hotel staff spoke up. “Alice was killed by the organization known as the chessmen. They are looking for you.”

The Hotel Staff passed me a list.

“The brokers who financed Chessmen.” I took the list. It contained three names. On it was one familiar name; Peter.

It was my instinct which made me jumped aside when the staff had the ice pick aimed at my neck. I rolled with the jump towards the settee. I got up into a crouch looking at the staff with his first attempt missed. He rushed towards me, but then I was ready. The low swinging kick of mine caught the rushing man and brought him down. When he fell next to me, I brought my right elbow hard on his spine. I turned my body to lay the left knuckle jab into the back of his neck.

Just when I thought it was over, another staff appeared at the doorway.
I should have known.

Peter team worked in pair.

The second assailant was alerted to the fighting and came rushing in. He was armed with a gun in his right hand. I got up to run towards the duffel bag, but he had kicked the food cart towards me, and then ran for the cover of the armchair. It knocked into me, but I made it to the duffel bag. I grabbed and rolled with it.

I reached in and pulled out the dagger. Peter had a shipment of my preference; the commando dagger named as Fairbairn Sykes fighting knife. It’s a double edged fighting knife resembling a dagger. I threw it like a throwing dagger at the assailant. I aimed it at the assailant’ throat but I got instead was his chest.

I was out of practice for some times. The last time I did the throwing act was months ago, for a client who likes to be on the board. The assailant did not hesitate to lay me one shot before he ran out of the room.

Damn! There must be a contract out on my name. I knew Peter will work for anyone when money is involved.

White King

I watched the door closed. He did leave with a hurry; must be time to go back to his own bed and lover.

It was a routine visit to the Bank, and then in the queue, I had chat with a man there. He was a gentleman and from a cup of coffee, I ended up without my thongs. I pulled myself up, and reached for my clothes. That was my best suit and not keen to lose it.

Funny, how we can end up fucking, but we never exchange names. It was all a fuck.

But the more funny part, I dislike paternity suits with unknown donor.

I took his DNA sample. I knew I had enough in me but I was a bitch when it comes to donating whatever was inside me, so I took his blood sample from the bite on the neck. I swapped it with the hanky for such purpose. I took the cab down to the Precinct.

1.          Hall of Judgment, Asgard

The Hall was packed with the surviving warriors of Asgard, while the Dwarves and Frost Giant have returned to their own land. The Crusaders are still here standing by Odin's side. The warriors who was in the original group stood on the right while the ones joined in later took the left side. Loki stood at the center with Thor and Balder.

"Loki, tell me how did you get these?" Odin points to the weapons from Man. "You know I forbid such items here. More to it, you siphon off the spirits of Norse to the other side. How did you do it? Only gate here is Yggdrasil." Odin looked at the trickster. "Unless you know of another."

"High Lord Odin, I was asked by the warriors to lead them when they were upset with your son..." Loki replied with glee before he was interjected by Odin.

"Loki, my patience runs thin with this war. Now tell me where is the Second Gate?" Odin spoke out firm with his glare set on the accused. "Tell me or shall I wring it out of you."

"High Lord Odin, surely...." Loki tried his charm again but Odin was past the point of return.

"Loki, speak or face my wrath." Odin raised up his scepter but the trickster spoke faster.

"I have the seed of Yggdrasil planted in the forest. Its young but its possess the power to cross the dimensions." Loki laughed out loud. "I am no more here than you are there, Sire."

"What?" Thor looked at the figure who stands next to him. Its not Loki but an incarnation of his in magic. One of those which only the trickster can conjured to deceived the High Lord. Odin was not pleased as his scepter released the power of destruction that only Odin can unleashed. The conjured incarnation burst into flame and there was nothing there.

"Find him. And get me the young sapling." Odin looked to his sons. "Go with them. The Crusaders would need the extra hands. After all, they saved your realm, so it best you repaid it in kind."

Tweet...tweet....03/05

At 41,932 words, I brought in this passage on Devil's Own;

Kassius placed his hand on the metal ring and noted the delicate finishing on the Angels. He traced his fingers on the writings. It was engraved in deep, and ancient from the feel of his fingers. There were nine angels on it, and each one was different in looks as if they were engraved based on some real figures.

“There are nine ranks in the servant God. They are placed in the hierarchy with the Angels the lowest in rank. Above them were the Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Dominions, Virtues, Powers, Archangels, Principalities and Angels. The lowest is the messenger with God and the humans on this level. They are the most caring and loving among the above, but they are also the first line of troopers.” Thaddeus explained to Kassius. “They are notable on Runes engravings but above it all, the Angels were truly the Guardians of the Gateway between dimensions. We all believed that when the Runes were in danger, the Angels will descend and removed the threat.”

This is only the beginning of the Quest.....Wow! I tell' ya its really fun to be let your mind flow with imagination of a new world, with mechanical contraptions and then the blend of mystic, with the adventure of an assassin.

For those of who are reading the Crusaders, there is another one already written; Crusaders III. It will follow the current tale when it ends, but in a different time zone.

Cheers, and enjoy.

P.S. I completed Hawaii Five-0 from Season 2 - 4. I am now watching The Glades Season  1 and had downloaded all 4 seasons. Maybe with the next tale after I complete the above, and Prey & Predators III, I will do one on the beaches with the pouting lips of the beauties as they parade from the sea...... And with alligators on the beaches....And.... never mind. It may juts turn out to the Prey And Predators IV.... the crunching continuation.....

Othello the Legatus Act 1 Scene 1 Part 3.2

Desdemona left the two standing there without any glance. By then, Cassio had joined the two and asked of what was the issue. Othello told him. Cassio looked Iago and asked.

"Where were you tonight?" Cassio had the suspicion that Iago had planned all this.

"I was with some friends, at the bathhouse. I took one..." Iago replied but he was stopped by Cassio.

"One too many drinks which loosen your tongue." Cassio rebuked back. Iago stood up and reached for his hidden dagger, but Othello stood in between them.

"Let no men of mine fight among themselves." Othello looked to both men. "I have to seek the man who needed my explanation. Let us get changed and be on the streets lest a mob seek us out."

They chanced on the mob led by Brabatio, they met on the junction not far from the villa. Brabatio was with his servants and personal guards, numbering more than ten confronted the trio of legionaries. Brabatio struggling in his toga held up the gladius towards the Legatus.

"Hold the villans." Brabatio shouted to his group which had formed a cordon around the trio. Othello drew his parazonium and leveled it at the hostile group. His companion sided next to him had also drew their gladius.

"Come no closer or feel my wrath and my gladius. We are Legionnaires and feared no one except the Emperor." Iago threatened the mob. Then Iago spied the sight of Roderigo at the rear of the group and gave him an eye signal.

"I am Servius, and feared no dressed up baboons." Servius, the servant in his eagerness to impress the master rushed forth at Othello, but the experienced Legatus side stepped and hit the assailant with the hilt of his parazonium.

"Ha! You are mortal and you bleed." Another guard came at Iago who was not as merciful as Othello; Iago thrust the guard on the back when he deflect the thrust and pushed the guard forward to land in the thrust.

"On that, I can agreed. Yours would be the first." Iago called back.

"Hold your anger, Senator. I am not here to fight you nor would I be that easily defeated by your men." Othello gave them the caution on the situation

"Othello, I had known you. I had invited you to my house for meals. I had you spoken to m daughter." Brabatio spoke of the past liaison of their past. "Yet you took advantage of my hospitality. You took my daughter for your personal lust without my ...."

Brabatio could not find the words to describe the intervention on his daughter. He munched on his last word to describe the act that Othello had done.

"Lust? I did not lust your daughter like that of a whore. I loved her...." Othello replied in a pleading voice.

"Whore? You dare to insult my daughter of one." Brabatio interjected in. He was more annoyed that his daughter was associated to the lowly profession of loose women. They are like slaves but an affinity to sell themselves to be degraded for coins.

"No!" Othello shouted out. "I did not said she was a whore. She is my love."

"Your love? You do not love her. You had her enticed by ....your charms. The charms of the type that your kind practiced." Brabatio shouted back. On hearing of charms, Othello chose to defend himself. He had heard of rumors since young that he was a son of the wandering tribes of barbarians who played on magic and spells. These tribes roamed the plains and hills of the upper continent and frequent the camps of the other barbarians. He had asked his adopted father who had denied those rumors; stating that he was the product of a legionnaire who had fathered him with a local Gaul woman. But with his adoption, Othello was every flesh and soul a Roman citizen.

"I had no needs of charms to love your daughter. She loved me for who I am." Othello defended himself.

"Silence, you bastard of Thaddeus. I had known him to father more of yours during his campaign. I am just surprised that he brought you back here as his own. You should had been left on the battlefield to die like the others." Brabatio spoke out in spite. He was to continue but they were met by the Praetorian Guards of Emperor Commodus.

"Legatus Othello, you are needed in the Senate." The Prefect accompanying the Praetorian Guards told the Legatus.

"I would come along." Brabatio told the Prefect. "I am Senator Brabatio."

"I know who you are, Senator. If you want to come, you may but you are needed to wait outside until you are called on." Prefect of the Praetorian told the Senator.

"I would see the Emperor on your behavior." Senator Brabatio threaten the Prefect.

"You would see him at the Senate. He is the one seeking the Legatus."

Preys & Predators II; Chessmen ( Rated Mature readers only ) 1.22

Dark Queen

I looked into my rear window of my car, as an old habit of mine. I been trailed so many times in my life, that I had become paranoia to it. Since the discussion with Mrs.Treacher, I had been tensed inside me. And the last occupant of my bed had been harvested for his organs.

It was then my portable signaled me on a message. It was from Audrey. She was my Pawn in the Forensics and wanted to meet. I replied to her to meet me at the motel. We go there sometimes for our rendezvous; she was married with two kids, but who cares when two ladies meet in the same room.

"Audrey, what's up?" I closed the rented room door. It was a motel, which we used and normally I paid in cash, but that time, she paid up. She was sitting on the bed; still in her daily attire of blouse and skirt. She was not alone, but with Tom.

"It was Doctor Brady. He was questioning on the reports on the victims.” I knew Audrey had doctored reports for me when needed. “I think he is onto something, and it’s a concern to me.”

I leaned down to kiss her on the forehead.

"It’s okay. I would sort it out." I told her. But she told me more.

"No! Doctor Brady went up to my head and asked for new prints. Some of those tests are done outside the system. Queen, I am scared." Audrey broke into tears. "More to it, Queen. I am pregnant. It could be Tom’. James....we had not fucked for weeks."

James was her husband, away in posting at overseas. She was in a relationship with Tom. I continue holding her while placing her head on my chest. I let her cry out her emotions while I worked out the plans. I had to do something. If she breaks, the Chessmen would be in trouble. As the Queen, I cannot afford it.

Audrey and Tom are expendables.

Mrs. Treacher could do it but she was not around then. I looked at the mirror where the lady was pressed to my chest. It may be my only chance.

I applied and broke Audrey's neck. While I cradled the dead lady, I called Tom. I told him to meet me there.

“Hello, Tom.” Tom walked into the room, and saw his lover on the bed.

“Sit down.” I told him. He did as he was told and then saw Audrey was not breathing. He reached for her, but the Queen stopped him with the gun level at him.

“Queen, what had you done?” Tom asked.

“Audrey was going to the cops. I had to silence her.” Queen placed the shot into his forehead. “You will do well as a pair there.”

That was the two less Chessmen for Mrs.Treacher to handle. I also took an insurance of my own; I issued out contracts for them and the traitor family member named Silvia Gates. More to it, I have also insured myself with the Feds. The last time, they almost removed us all. This time, I intend to remove them all first.

There must be no more pieces on the board except the Queen.

Soon I will be back.....

I have been penning away for the last weeks, slowly; I had to put aside my other concerns to go here. But as was once mentioned to me, all ...
